Hey @Cooljackdj ,

Thanks for reaching out about this feature request and for your ongoing support!

I’ve made sure it’s brought to the attention of our Dev Team for future consideration.

In addition, if other users also feel this feature would be useful, we encourage them to vote on this topic thread as well so we have a better idea of the interest from others in our community.

Cheers!

As YouTube music has excellent suggestion algorithms I would appreciate it very much to be able to stream music from YouTube music in the djay Pro AI Windows desktop and/or iOS App.

Please add YouTube music to your platform. This will give us DJs much more access to even more music! Also high quality videos. YouTube has much more music and videos than any other platforms out right now. Thank you!!:pray:t4::pray:t4:

please ad YouTube music as a streaming source!! So much DJs will cross over to Djay because of this one feature because we have access to so much new and old and rare music that’s only featured on YouTube! This will be huge! Please add this feature!! Please!!

Hi @Mac_Joseph, please do not create additional topics for the same suggestion. I’ve merged your new one with this existing one. This makes it much harder to keep track of votes and user interest in the suggestion. Thanks!

I enjoy using djay pro both windows and Andriod  also to the next version please add YouTube or Spotify

Hi @Nyawuza_Mtsakwe, welcome to the Community! Please use search before creating new topics. I have merged your new topic with this existing one. Thanks.

I would like to make a cautious comment on this request. YouTube does not allow streaming of its content in third-party applications. DJ Studio also had to realize this recently (Tutorial: DJing On YouTube - With DJ.Studio | DJ.Studio). Since the use of the music is technically linked to a temporary download of the file, this would violate YouTube’s terms of use, which only allow this via their official app.
In addition, the DJ would lack a license to publicly reproduce the music, although the problem also exists to some extent with SoundCloud.
However, as Algoriddm is also a German company and also serves customers in Germany, it is also confronted with German law and German case law on copyright. For example, the Hamburg Higher Regional Court recently ruled that circumventing YouTube’s rolling cipher (copy protection measure) in order to obtain the music file would be a violation of German copyright law.
Overall, I therefore think that this would probably not be possible. Djay Pro would probably have to have a good connection to YouTube in order to negotiate something exclusively.
