I’ve done my best over the last few months to set up a workflow with Djay Pro and SoundSwitch, but unfortunately, the BPM detection struggles during beatless segments. Plus, Ableton Link forces me to keep Sync always on. In the end, I’m giving up and switching to Serato ahead of the season. It’s a real shame… I’m really hoping for an update, but I’m afraid this isn’t a priority for them right now :face_holding_back_tears:

Thanks for the detailed feedback @SIMSU_84. Sorry to see you go.

Nothing against your software—it’s actually top-notch—but there’s a lot of competition right now. To stay ahead of the curve, you’ve got to level up and offer something unique. Lightshows definitely give you that edge.

Thanks again @SIMSU_84

It sounds like you’re not too thrilled that we keep reminding you about the need to implement this integration with SoundSwitch… Mobile DJs like me charge more depending on the level of lighting system we bring to events. In my particular case, for smaller events I stick to using djay Pro with Ape Labs gear in music mode, but for larger events I use moving heads, PAR LEDs, fog machines, laser and other fixtures that require DMX control through SoundSwitch. In those cases, I’m forced to use Serato Pro instead. And I imagine there are many others in the same situation as me. Please keep in mind that this is far more serious than you may think, because it directly affects our income as professionals.

it really cannot be so hard to implement soundswitch workaround in DJ pro. There are so many DJ softwares where it already is.

Please guys, I really don’t want to change my DJ Software because I really love DJ pro.

When can we expect to get the implementation? :face_savoring_food::smiling_face:

For me as a Dancer and dj there cant by anything so satisfying than perfect musicality light shows.

Guys please.

Thanks for the additional feedback @DjLemart

Hi @Ze_dy, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the feedback. We do not have a timeline to share regarding implementation of this suggestion. Please remember to use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page. Thanks!

I’ve been using Virtual DJ for all of my gigs for the last month or so, whenever their fluid beatgrids came out, and I gotta say, I don’t miss DJay Pro much. DJay Pro is more FUN to play on, but all of the extra functionality of VDJ just makes the comparison too stark. When you had functionality that no other program offered, it was easier to overlook the shortcomings. The only feature I’ve missed has been the neural mix/crossfader fx stuff. Not sure if this will be coherent or rambling, but I love this program and hope that someday it ā€œmaturesā€ to the level of the other DJ software

Thanks for the feedback @allentastic. I have share this with our dev team.

fwiw, I am on the same path : moving to Serato because Djay Pro lacks integration with Soundswitch.
Music and Light go together. So, is this a DJ software or not ?

I have this feeling Djay Pro has long been ahead of the pack, but is now lagging.

Plus, I do appreciate @Slak_Jaw interactions a lot.
But, come on, I have had a bit too much of ā€œI will share this with our dev teamā€, without any feed-back for years, about SoundSwitch, and about UI responding to performance pads.
Or ā€œplease voteā€. These two points are in the top three of vote ranking. So, what’s the point ?
Seriously.

Both are ridiculously easy to implement.
We haven’t had a single feed-back about these 2 points for over three years now.
At some point it becomes more than frustrating.
It becomes unbearable.
Enough.
