Apple Music Playlists not appearing in djay pro

I have the same problem. This is super frustrating, as I was just going to start working on my mixtour paired with djay pro.

Same problem to me, any idea about how long this starts syncing? it’s been over 8 hours already.

Same problem for MONTHS … may have to bail on DJay after 10+ years

Thanks for the additional info @seast, @touchnez, @Jonnygilm and @Scott_Rosenthal. I’ve passed this onto engineering for further review.

I should have caught this during the wedding ceremony; I must have refreshed after adding another song, then I lost the groom and bridesmaids procession song. I accidentally played the brides song for them since it was “next” on my playlist. Still…rookie mistake and the wedding coordinator and brides were very sweet about my screw up. Makes me feel slightly better that at least I’m not going crazy and not the only one experiencing these issues.

I’ve also started having this issue, I’d hoped it was related to the AM loading bug that was fixed in the last update, but apparently not. It’s concerning how long this issue has existed and yet there’s no sign of a fix (happy to be corrected on that Agloriddim mods).

Does anyone have any workarounds?

Thanks all

Same issue for me, newest Ipad Pro 13

Thanks for the feedback @Karl_Mohr. I’ve shared this with engineering.

Experienced same issue as original post. To get around it I created two playlists in djay Pro yesterday using Apple Music search and adding tracks that way. Returned to computer a few hours later and the playlists were gone. Seems to be an Apple Music issue as they are not showing up consistently in that software (a friend also reported her Apple Music playlists appearing and disappearing in her phone app).

MacBook Air iOS 14.5

Any updates to this?

I’ve been using Djay for YEARS and was very disappointed to find out spotify was no longer supported after being away from Djing for a few years. Most likely becuase of Spotifys policy updates.

Making the move to apple music, and trying to get playlists imported as I am starting to DJ weddings again, and I appear to be having the same issue as the OP. Would love to know of a fix, workaround, or an update to this. I doubt that this is a “rare issue” based on hardware and region as many others are having similar issues…

Hi @SnappleDapple2, we don’t have any updates to share on this except that we are working with Apple on it. I’ll report back here when I have news though. Thanks!

Just to reply, i am also having the issue that I have transferred music from my library to Apple Music on my iPad pro. I can see the music in the apple music app, but i can’t see it in the djay app. This is very frustrating.

Hi @bad_devotions, please make sure you check the Local Music Source in djay NOT the Apple Music Streaming Source.

For more info on the difference between Apple Music Streaming, the Music App, iTunes and Local Music please refer to this link:

Having the same issue here.

  1. I transferred my Spotify playlist to Apple Music (tune my music.com)
  2. The added playlist shows up on the Apple Music app on iPad Air 3.
But it shows only on the local app tab within Djay pro app, and NOT on the Apple Music streaming tab, within the Djay pro app. Although previously I can see all ,y playlists from there.
  3. But all the tracks on the playlist are greyed out on the local tab. When I tap any of them to load to a deck, a message appears saying they need to be first downloaded on the Apple Music app locally first.
  4. So I do that. And then return to the djay pro app. Only to find that the playlist isn’t even listed on the local tab anymore!

For troubleshooting I tried:
Logging out of Apple Music within djay Pro app. And logging back in. Hoping this would force a clean sync. But it didn’t help.
Then I tried deleting the playlist in the Apple Music app. (Yes deleted the download and then deleted the playlist from Library ) - and then started again with transferring the playlist to Apple Music again.

But only to face the same issue. It appreas but greyed out on the local tab, but doesn’t appear on the Apple Music streaming tab. I noticed that if I edit the playlists name, it completely disappears.

Hi @Sebastian_Kaye, if you navigate to music.apple.com and sign in there do you see your playlists?

Hi Slak_Jaw,
Yes I do see the playlist there. But It’s not showing in the djay Pro iPad app. My older playlist do (ones I’ve transferred there over the last months), just not the most recent transferred playlist.

So normally it works.

Okay, thanks for the additional info @Sebastian_Kaye. I wasn’t able to replicate this so I’m going to pass this onto our engineering team for further review. I’ll let you know when I have news or suggestions from them. Thanks!

So after a few hours, The playlist in question, finally showed up in the Djay Pro iPad app. It just took a while.

Excellent. Thanks for the follow up @Sebastian_Kaye
