When selecting a specific track to play in djay, a different song starts playing instead. The displayed track title matches the selected song, but the audio output is incorrect.
How to reproduce the issue:
Open djay on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Select a playlist and load a specific track.
Observe that a different track plays, even though the selected track’s title is displayed.
The issue occurs inconsistently, not tied to specific tracks or playlists.
Hi @Farshad thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. I was unable to reproduce this issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. What music source are you using? To help me better understand what is going on, can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!
I use Apple Music with djay, and this issue has only started recently. When loading a song from an Apple Music playlist into djay, the correct song title and cover art are displayed, but a completely different song plays. This problem never occurred before and started a few days ago.
Thanks for the additional info @Farshad. Can you please share some specific song examples so I can try to replicate this issue? A screenshot would be ideal. Thanks!
Device model : MacBook Air M1
Version of operating system macOS 15.1.1
Version of djay 5.2.6
Hardware/controllers used : Pioneer Dj DDJ-200
Summary of the issue:
Apple music Library is mixing song titles bpm and key
eg. I load up a song from my house playlist, it plays the right sound but the title and album cover is from a random song from my library that doesn’t belong to this playlist
Hi @Farshad, you cannot share video files here directly. Please upload your video to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!
I have a Pro account with your app, and my Apple Music is synced to it. However, since yesterday, I’ve noticed an issue: some of the songs I add from my Apple Music library don’t play correctly. Specifically, the track that plays doesn’t match the one I selected, and it seems the songs are being shuffled or misaligned somehow.
I’d appreciate it if you could look into this issue and let me know how it can be resolved.
Hi @Farshad, thanks for the video. I was able to access and download it. I will forward this to the engineering team for further review to see if they can replicate the issue. So far, I have not been able to reproduce this myself. Also, please do not create multiple topics for the same issue. I have merged your new one with this one. Thanks!
@Farshad and @Bandas, if you play these same songs directly in the Apple Music app (not within djay), do you experience the same issues of it playing a different song instead?
Hi @Eykonic, thanks for the info. Can you please try playing these same songs in the Apple Music stand alone app (outside of djay) or via a browser to confirm if it happens there too?
Applemusic on its own works fine, only in the djay app the songs are labeled wrong, for example, time to go from basstripper, it should be 174/175 bpm in F, but it gets labeled as 130 bpm in eb. playing the song i realise wait thats not time to go from hi, its some random housetrack out of my playlist.
