Thanks for the video @megaman24, but this looks like a different issue than what @Nikos_Filopoulos is experiencing. His waveform does not disappear like in your video.
Ah ok, well go ahead and move this to another bugs topic if needed. Would be good for this not to happen when live mixing. It would be disastrous! Thanks for your help as always!
Hi @megaman24, I’ve moved your comments to this topic as they seem closely related. Please provide full details for your setup:
Device Model (ex. 2020 iPad Air 4th Gen):
Version of operating system (ex. iOS 17.3.1):
Version of djay (ex. 5.1.3):
Hardware/controllers used (ex. Reloop Ready):
Hardware Firmware Version (ex. 2.7):
yeah its different from my bug
Agreed!
Device Model: 2024 M3 MacBook Air
Version of operating system: Mac OS Tahoe 26.5.2
Version of djay: 5.6.8
Hardware/controllers used: FLX-4 & FLX-10
Hardware Firmware Version : Up to date.
Thanks for the additional setup details @megaman24. I have several follow up questions to hopefully help our engineering team to reproduce this issue on their setups:
- Please share your exact firmware version numbers for the FLX4 and FLX10.
- Please confirm which controller you were using in the video above, the FLX4 or FLX10?
- Have you experienced the same issue with both controllers?
- Have you experienced the same issue with no controller connected?
- Please share a screenshot of your audio configuration in the djay Settings>Devices menu with your controller connected.
- Have you ever changed the audio configuration from the Default settings?
- Are you using the (built-in) MIDI mapping with both controllers or a custom edit?
- How exactly are you connecting your Mac to these controllers?
- Any USB Adapters or Hubs?
- Have you tried different USB cables?
- What was the music source of the failing track: local file or streaming service, and if streaming, which one and at what quality setting?
- File format and storage location of the failing track (internal SSD, external drive, iCloud/optimized storage)?
- Was the track fully analyzed beforehand?
- Does the same track fail repeatedly, or is it different tracks each time?
- Is the audio loss on the one deck only or on the global/master audio? Next time it happens, see if there is still audio output possible on the other deck.
- Did you experience this issue on earlier djay versions?
- Were you using Neural Mix or any FX at the time?
- If possible, please try to capture a new screen recording with the mixer visible, both decks playing, and the Activity Monitor CPU window in frame.
- Next time it happens, please also try to capture a Sample Process
- Please make sure that you collect the Sample Process while the issue is occurring.
- Open Activity Monitor: Locate and open Activity Monitor on your Mac. Usually found in the Utilities folder within your Applications folder.
- Select CPU: In Activity Monitor, ensure the CPU tab at the top is selected.
- Choose djay Pro: Scroll down and locate the djay Pro App process in the CPU list.
- Sample Process: Click the gear icon (Actions) in the Activity Monitor toolbar and select “Sample Process”.
- Save the report: After sampling, save the generated report for submission and further analysis.
- Upload the report: Upload the report to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the file here.
Thanks!
