YOUR QUESTION:

  1. Why would my audio be slowing when connecting my Impulse T7 to Djay pro? I had to reset my computer recently and had redownloaded Hercules Impulse drivers. My configuration and ASIO settings are setup correctly but my platers are moving significantly slow (when I click cue, the song plays at appropriate speed, but when platers move it slows down to a crawl). The issue isn’t related to tempo, and I’m at a loss on how to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Mac_Hebebrand, welcome to the Community! If you recently updated to Windows 11 25H2, please refer to this Help Center Article:

If this doesn’t solve your issue please provide more details about your setup. Thanks!

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!

This happens with controllers that have motorized platters, because djay pro uses a different algorithm than Serato or virtual DJ. I don’t have the T7, but I have the Pioneer REV7 and I had the same problem. The solution is to use the MIDI Script Fix.

Thank you for the helpful comment man, resetting those ports fixed the issue for me. I appreciate it!

Thanks for sharing @djcanitamix.

Glad to hear that worked for you @Mac_Hebebrand

Hello everyone, we released a supplemental update to Windows djay 5.6.4 on April 10 which should fix the issue where MIDI controllers are not detected. We added a small workaround which should ensure that the Windows MIDI Service is started on app launch. I hope that helps!

Why is it that every time I update Windows, the audio slowing with Pioneer REV7?

And I have to reuse the MIDI script fix every time I update. I think the djay pro technical team should fix this already; we’ve been dealing with the same problem for a long time.

Thanks for the feedback @djcanitamix. This is still the recommended workaround until the issue is fully resolved in the OS. Please note that this is an OS level issue and is not isolated to djay. Please refer to the linked article below for more info:

Thank you very much, but I’ve already learned how to solve the problem. I just wanted to know if there’s a possibility the technical team could resolve the issue with the turntables. This problem only occurs with Djay Pro, and not with other DJ programs. It’s true that Windows changed something in its update, and I believe it’s the technical team’s responsibility to resolve that change, as it only affects Djay Pro.

You’re welcome @djcanitamix. Thanks for the additional information. I will definitely pass your comments onto our dev team for further review. Thanks again for the follow up!

Hi again @djcanitamix, I heard back from our devs. The bug is on Window’s side, but it only affects the modern “WinRT” MIDI API that we are using. Our competitors are mostly using the older Windows MIDI APIs that are not affected by that bug. That being said, this timestamp fix should be rolling out via the official Windows updates soon, so this should only be a temporary issue. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the information

You’re welcome @djcanitamix
