Hello i have a question. Currently the software in sync mode has some small defects in synchronizing the bpm as soon as you press the play button.
Let me explain better; in other software such as virtual dj and recordbox, when I use the sync mode, at any point I press play it starts perfectly on beat.
In deejay pro often if I delay the play by a few seconds compared to the outgoing song, and I don’t press it perfectly at the same point of the beat, you can hear the double bass defect.
Then the software puts the songs perfectly in sync. It’s just a small defect that is produced at the beginning by pressing play.
So my question is whether this will be solved
Welcome to the community, and thanks for bringing this up! I’m glad to see others like you noticing this difference between DJay Pro and other software like Virtual DJ and RekordBox as well. I’ve personally used Traktor for years, and I must say their handling of those first milliseconds during a transition sounds also much smoother.
As you’ve rightly pointed out, in DJay Pro, the small timing corrections to align the tracks happen after the incoming track has already started playing. This can result in a very noticeable jump or glitch, which does sound unprofessional—especially during live mixing or when starting the incoming track at 100% volume.
I believe it describes the same problem you’re experiencing and suggests a fix to make transitions smoother and more in line with industry standards.
I’d recommend adding your vote to that request as well! The more support it gets, the higher the chances Algoriddim will prioritize this improvement. Like you, I really hope they address this soon, as it’s a significant drawback for those of us relying on sync mode for precise good sounding transitions.
I assume that you have the Beat Sync Interval in the General Settings section set to “1 Beat”. If you have it set to “4 Beats”, the audible jumps can become even more pronounced. (And I believe you can count to 4 yourself, right? )
Hello Dj Big
exactly you understood perfectly what I mean. It’s just a plus that I think they can work on to make the program even more efficient. I will certainly vote for this
