Ahhhh I downloaded, paid, and spoke to the man himself. I got some type of user of error that he said was basically way above my pay grade. He refunded me my $$ and politely told me to fuck all the way off.
Ah crap dude! I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work out. Maybe keep an eye on it and any updates they release for the app. Maybe it’s a bug they’ll fix down the line. Hopefully more apps like that will come out in the near future as more and more DJ’s are using streaming catalogues.
He said djay was the MOST difficult platform for this software to work with.
I think I remember him mentioning that in one of his videos. The way Djay stores all the meta data for tracks is much more complex than other apps. I think I remember him saying the dynamic beatgrid, while super useful for users, makes the meta data really hard to parse out for conversion.
Ugh, sorry it’s not working out for you with DJCUS. Hopefully Algoriddim prioritizes 3rd party integrations (DJCU/DJCUS, SoundSwitch, Crate Hackers, etc.) as the next thing to focus on as I think that’s the next big hurdle to them significantly growing their user base.
It’s all good. Hopefully a future update takes care of it. By then I’ll probably have them all done manually. What’s really odd and the team at algoriddim is working on it for me. Is that if I have different versions of the same track, For example intro version versus radio edit it will copy the cue points from one to the other, but they’re always off a beat or two. And when I edit one, it throws the other off. Really strange.
