Cannot access USB in new OneLibrary feature

Thanks for the additional info @Christophroar. Please provide your drive format not drive type.

https://help.algoriddim.com/hc/en-us/articles/23070080061212-Using-OneLibrary-in-djay

The drive is formatted as exFAT, the only way to get it to work is to format the drive each time which isn’t ideal.

Thanks @Christophroar,

  1. Do you have a different drive that you can test?
  2. Can you please try renaming the device when you reformat it?

I ran some tests with multiple drives now (reformatting and naming) and it still fails to read the library and shows the disabled allow access on those drives after ejecting and reinserting the drive.

Both SSD and usb thumb drives produce this bug.

I have tried the ssd and usb drive on pc and iOS and they work flawlessly, the OneLibrary loading issues appears to only be affecting MacOS.

This is exactly the same for me, except when renaming the drive I am able to access it until either djay is closed and reopened, or the drive is ejected and then mounted again. I have also found that when renaming the drive, if the name has previously been used it cannot be used again.

Yep, using your method was the only way I could get it to work on MacOS (which was such a pain I unfortunately just gave up and closed Djay)

Thanks for the additional information and troubleshooting @Christophroar and @samwoodhead. I’m still not able to reproduce this issue so I have escalated it to our engineering team for further analysis. I’ll report back when I have more news.

Hi again @Christophroar and @samwoodhead, please collect a log output from Console.app on macOS while replicating the issue in djay. NOTE: Make sure your user profile has Administrator Privileges.

  1. Open Console.app: It’s located in Applications>Utilities or simply type Console in the Spotlight search.
  2. Set Up Console: In the sidebar, select your Mac under “Devices.” Click “Start” in the toolbar to stream logs in real-time.
  3. Replicate the Issue: Open djay and perform the actions that trigger the issue. Note the exact time of the issue. Once the issue is reproduced, click “Pause” in the toolbar to pause logging.
  4. Filter djay Logs: In the Console search bar, type “djay” to filter logs related to the djay software.
  5. Copy the Logs: Shift select the relevant log entries, the press Command (⌘) + C to copy the log text to the clipboard.
  6. Save the Logs to a Text File: Open the TextEdit App, create a new document, then press Command (⌘) + V to paste the Logs. Now go to File>Save and name it something like “djay_console_log.txt”.
  7. Share with Support: Upload the .txt file to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the file here.

Thanks @Christophroar

I have that problem on macOS too. It works fine on Windows.
