Hi like u said ive updated my app to 1.6.4 and yes it still crashes the error code now is different 268435459 plus when recording it stops it so when I crashes I might as well turn off because the app is worthless to me please keep badgering apple as this is really annoying it seems to crash when I load an old beatport track to a new one I’ve downloaded, what’s more annoying is this app once won awards so u would think apple would be on top of this rather then leaving people hanging and slagging of one of there top apps

I could be wrong, but I would like to add my assumption or possibility of whats going on. I am no programmer or anything close so please excuse my lack in knowledge. However, I notice this problem of the recently downloaded tracks from beatport.com. They were MP3 downloaded and I downloaded several simultaneously. Not sure if its glitch in the files i have downloaded or not. But even in iTunes, whenever i try playing them, they is a glitch. I would press play, then it’ll freeze… then I am able to press play again, and it will work. But there is definitely a glitch. So, I’m not sure if the files are being copied correctly from iTunes to Music app on the iPad, iPhone, etc or not. Please look in this.

Did the update last night, still experiencing exactly the same problem with beatport MP3s, doesn’t recover after 3 seconds (or even 10 seconds…) - had to go back to beatport music converted to AAC format so they play without the errors…tried about 10 different tracks…made no difference…any ideas!!!
Has iOS 7 fixed this problem now?
Is this a Beatport media problem?? Really sucks how this kills your recording.

The new update 1.6.5 resolves the Cannot load rack error (OSStatus error - 12178) problem??
With the new version of djay2 does it corrects the error of load songs of 320kbps?
I’ve been having this problem too lately (along with OSStatus error 268435459).
I’m noticing that the tracks this typically happens with also have an issue with beat matching. The BPM’s will be the same, but one track will be a bit faster or slower.
I’ve actually used the pitch control to increase one of the tracks to a higher BPM so that they match… is this a normal issue…
AND… when this happens while recording, the recording not only stops but doesn’t save what was played already…
should I contact apple?

I’m having OSStatus error -12178 problems too.
I’ve had the iPad version of Deejay for 18 months and have had no issues with freezing or tempo. All of my iTunes and imported Mp3 play without any issues.
I’ve recently started buying tracks from Beatport and that’s when the issues started. Tracks sometimes won’t load in iTunes or Deejay. Other times during a recording on Deejay the track freezes and the recording is ruined.

I encountered this error on djay and now on djay2 a few months back. I came on here to check if there was any progress on this problem…nope…This was one of my showcase apps for the ipad and iphone.Now it’s unusable because of this error. Moving on…
