Crossfader not working properly

Your question:
Hello,

I’m trying to run djayPro 5.3.3 on a MacBook pro 14" (M3pro, 18GB RAM, latest macOS).

However, the crossfader is acting VERY strange:

  • In a setup w/ 2 decks, BOTH decks are ALWAYS audible - no matter where I set the fader.
  • When I move the fader VERY slowly, it works “a bit” = I hear minimal differences in volume, UNTIL I reach the end of the fader (ie. furthest to left/right) - when reaching that point, BOTH decks jump back to full volume…

Moreover, the “gain”-faders (small vertical faders) don’t do anything at all.
Thus, I have no means of fading, or adjusting volume, which makes the app totally useless…

I tried the settings, and in the end I completely de- & reinstalled djay - to no avail, unfortunately.

There must be a setting hidden somewhere - I don’t believe the crossfader should act (rather: NOT act!) like this?!

Thx in advance for your help!

Hi @supa_pep,

  1. Are you using any DJ hardware or just your laptop? If you’re using a controller, please provide details about this device and how you are connecting it to your laptop
  2. Do you have Crossfader FX On or Off?
  3. Please share a screenshot of your djay Settings>Sound window.
  4. Please also share a screenshot of your djay Settings>Devices window.

Thanks!
