DDJ-FLX10 Compatibility

Hi @Black, engineering is aware of this and looking into it further.

To those that have the FLX10, a few questions with the new Djay release…

  1. Does the stem buttons light up according to if the stems are active/inactive?
  2. Does Shift-Cue work to use the EQ as neural mix like with Rekordbox?
  3. Does Crossfader FX work?

Hey @djchase, happy to help you out here.

  1. Does the stem buttons light up according to if the stems are active/inactive?

Yes. By default, none of the stems buttons are lit up. If you press one of them, that part is soloed and the button is lit up afterwards. This is the reverse behavior of Rekordbox, where all buttons are lit up by default and pressing them will remove that stem from the song.

  1. Does Shift-Cue work to use the EQ as neural mix like with Rekordbox?

Works.

  1. Does Crossfader FX work?

Works :+1:

@djjoejoe wow that’s great. So basically it’s full functionality minus seeing waveforms in the jog display. Further up in the thread, lotta people saying it’s not ready for prime time. Did those issues get resolved?

One last question - which beat and sound color effects work currently, and I’m a you do it on a specific channel or only master (like previously??

I think I’ll be trading in my XDJ-XZ for this. Really hard to go back to CDJs and XDJ units after playing around with Djay.

Hi guys, what would you say? Is the latest version stable enough? Or should I stick with version 5.2.1 on IOS?

A post was split to a new topic: Pioneer FLX10 Sound Color FX Bug

@Slak_Jaw is there somewhere we should be adding a vote or a +1 for FLX10 jog wheel display waveform support? And jog wheel HID support at all on iOS?

Hi @Siyfion, I don’t think anyone has created suggestion topics for either of these so you can go ahead and start them yourself. It’s best to create one topic for each suggestion. Thanks!

If anyone else comes here for the same things; I found this: Jog Wheel Displays on Pioneer FLX 10 - #7 by Hannes for the HID support on iOS, which I’ve tagged onto the bottom for waveform support in MacOS.

Good find @Siyfion! I did a quick search yesterday and didn’t find this one.

Hi, now Djay Pro AI on iPad (M1) type C connection works good on FLX10? Still use Mixon 8 Pro but I like too much the mixer effects and I hope to can buy FLX10

In my opinion, this is the best controller ever. Unfortunately, DJ Pro AI doesn’t support the FLX10’s jog wheel displays. But everything else does a great job.

Get u one u will never change🤣

Jogwhells displays aren’t a problem for me, I’m also from Mixon 4 I think is only a little plus. I’m interested to know that the stability is the same of Mixon 8 Pro and that the mixer effects work good, now I always place an RMX1000 for bypassing the bad effects of Djay Pro :joy:

Hi there, do you have fully mixer capability with beat and colour effects and can you map pads how you want??

Hi, yes, u have the whole functionalety for the Beat Effects and Colour FX Effects. And yes u can map the pad effects how u like it but only with the effects in djay pro ai. I don’t know if this is possible to Upload other Effects.
Maybe you can ask Slak_Jaw

You cannot upload other FX to djay. Only the built-in djay FX.

Thanks for info. Looks like it’s a decent integration apart from screen support.

For me the best DJ Software ever.

It is. I have Rev 5 and it’s just an amazing integration. Looking at other gear though :sunglasses::sunglasses: Performer looks hot as well.
