Summary of the issue:
Before tonight I was on a previous version of DJay Pro. The way I work is, I create my crates in Serato DJ Pro because I have a Pioneer DDJ-Rev 7 and the pair work well together. However I also have a Pioneer DDJ-Rev 1 which I use with DJay Pro to play out because it’s light to carry. The Rev 1 only works with DJay Pro. I would open DJ Pro and an exact replica of my Serato crates with songs in them would appear. And off I go seamlessly. I played a gig tonight and everything worked perfectly. However when I got home I saw there was a DJay Pro update. So I updated without doing a Time Machine backup. And boom I have a problem. The Crates from Serato appear however a ‘no songs’ message appears. This is the case with all the crates. If I click on the top icon on the bottom left (where you would change from ‘my crates’ to ‘Apple Music’ etc. The top Djay Pro Icon (a yellow and black bulls eye circle on a white square) has a history tab and all my songs are there and they play perfectly. Hopefully we can solve this or I would have to re-instal the older version.
This matter is becoming fairly urgent as I have a gig on Wednesday (Monday now) if it can’t be solved by then, please direct me to link of a previous version of DJay Pro so I can use that in the meantime.
Hi Please help. Time is running out my gig is tomorrow. Please post a link to an earlier version so we can use our DJay pro. I don’t have time to wait for a solution.
Hello everyone, engineering has identified the issue and it will be resolved in the next djay release. Please note that it is not possible for us to provide previous versions of djay as this is controlled by the app store. However, if you have a Time Machine or other full system backup, you should be able to use that to revert to an earlier version. I hope that helps!
M1 MacBook Pro 16”, 16gb ram, 2tb internal drive running DJay Pro 5.2.8. I never once imported my Serato crates into my collection, I only use the my crates sections of DJay Pro to use my music from Serato. DJay Pro 5.2.6 and below always read my Serato crates and all my music with all my files and structure. After updating to 5.2.8, my tracks are still in the root folder under all files, but all my tracks in my crates are missing. This just happened after updating to 5.2.8. This needs to be fixed immediately. I’m not going to import all my music into my collection from Serato because it slows down loading times. Not too sure why they would break this just after doing a simple update. This has been working perfectly since DJay Pro 5 came out. This update broke this. Please fix this asap because now DJay Pro is unusable to me, I have to use Serato again until this is fixed.
