It’s a PR disaster. The app is early, which is never a good thing for existing customers, and on top of that they go subscription, which is not popular with a lot of existing customers.
Backlash.

My guess would be yes. I wonder if it will be included though. One subscription, use every version you like…
You can with the FileBrowser app. You can link to almost any source with that and use it as a side panel. Drag & drop.
It also integrates with the iOS files app should you need it.

Edit: not in the classic / simple way of connecting in a drive, but ‘somehow’…
It would be a workaround as none of these solutions are plug & play…
I take it you mean you’ll be needing WiFi when you’re not at home right? Because at home the drive / folder would be available on your network with FileBrowser.
The way I see it you have a couple of options:
Backup your library to the iPad. You need to backup the 60 GB anyway, why not to the iPad.
Use a solution where the drive connects directly to the WiFi. Either with a WiFi NAS or a router with USB to connect the drive. You would have to change the login info for each different WiFi network though. If you DJ in multiple locations it could be a bit of a drag I guess…
Set up your own FTP server. There are drives which have FTP on board. You’d then have access from around the globe with FileBrowser. It depends on your ISP if they allow your home network (or modem / router) to be accessed from the web though. And: no internet, no music.
Use a cloud service. Dropbox works fine with Djay using the files app. iCloud too. Both could work from a shared music folder on the Mac for example. You’d also have your backup. But once again: no internet, no music.
As I warned before, none of these solutions are perfect, but maybe this helps!
My pleasure and good luck!
I think I found something here: https://www.cultofmac.com/529159/how-…
SanDisk iXpand together with FileBrowser should solve your problem. Up to 256 GB of storage. Plug & play.
…‘use it as a side panel.’
Glad it works for you!
One warning: for iXpand you’ll be needing the FileBrowser for Business app. Looks like a great solution though.
No. Never will, due to limitations of the Spotify API (protecting copyrighted content I’d assume)
Unless they’re removing the old apps from your devices I’d suggest sticking to those if you don’t want to pay the $40/year
Hi anders. How do I get the $9.99 deal? I have bought djay 2 AND djay Pro for iOS in the past.
Network Attached Storage
Can you turn off the Automix AI on new update for iOS? Or at least adjust how sensitive it is? In certain cases it’s cutting out too much of the song!
Does DJay Pro subscription allow me to use the app on both iPhone and iPad? It used to be 2 separate apps and two purchases, correct?
As long as the iPhone and iPad uses the same App Store login, the subscription will work for both iOS devices.
Does the iOS djay pro app on the iPad and iPhone work with the mixtrack platinum and now if you use the lightning to usb apple camera adapter. I was under the impression that the mix tracks didn’t work with iOS apps (only Mac and pc) but I see them listed here:

If so do the jog wheel displays work
The following controllers work without a subscription: Reloop Beatpad, Beatpad 2, Mixon 4, and Mixtour, as well as the Pioneer DDJ-WeGO4.
You can check the full list of supported controllers in both the free and pro version in our FAQs:

Thanks for your feedback guys. If you previously purchased any of our apps on iOS you will get a 80% discount for the first year ($9.99 for one year).
You can read more about why we are moving to a subscription and the details on our website:

Yes, djay for iOS is now a single app for both iPad and iPhone. If you get the subscription you can use it on any of your devices that are using the same Apple ID.
