Djay Pro is awesome. I can confirm that they will not be updating Djay Pro. It’s not even available on the App Store anymore. And yes this ap is horrible. Lay out is bad. UI is bad. Not a fan. Functionality per “deck selection” is lower which blows my mind they want people to pay for it continuously over time.
And only on two deck mode. 4 deck mode is a joke. Djay Pro for iPad blows this out of the water. I’m kind of annoyed that this is the direction they took.
Go into more detail on Camelot use if you don’t mind. I’ve not seen that.
Seems like a larger capacity iPad solves all of the issues and heartache in this post.
on your information page it shows all the controllers that work with the new app with this caveat:
In order to do so some controllers marke with a * below require either a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter or an USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (depending on your iOS device) with a connected power adapter.
How do the ones not marked with a star connect? A USB-B to USB-C Cable? And if so, does the new iPad charge with that?
What is the situation for existing owners of the DJay pro app for ios?
That sucks. Same issue I had with them with their recent desktop releases. Are trying to send people away?

I understand that you have ongoing development costs in house and outsourced. I understand that revenue limited to a once every one or two year purchase or upgrade does not “keep the light on”.
However, please consider offering your current licencees a loyalty incentive. As a former veteran sales and marketing manager for 3 multinationals over a 15 year period, I can tell you keeping your existing customers happy is worth more than new users.
Suggested options:
- 3 months free, then 3 months at a reduced price then full price.
- 6 - 12 months reduced subscription price. Then full price thereafter.
- Pay 6 months upfront for a reduced subscription price.
Give us some hope, incentive.

One thing I have not yet seen mentioned is until when is the deadline that existing customers of any djay version for iOS will receive a special upgrade price of $9.99 for the first year. If i subscribe, for instance in 2019 march it will be that value until 2020 march? Is it right?

Using iOS 12.1.2 on iPhone and iOS 9.3.5 on iPad Mini.
I guess you will tell me new version uses >11.2, so no iPad.
Then my questions are: will it be compatible and communicate with Philips M1X-DJ controller using my iPhone on 12.12? …and will Djay2 continue to exist so I can keep using my old-timer iPad?

Dojo , I didn’t update the latest for IOS app went to update last night update was pulled down from Apple. Basically no more updates and if you want the “new” iOS app it’s going to cost 6.49 per month! Yes I know right? Has crack been legalized in Germany!
I believe so, if you rely on iOS your better of to wait to see the new Traktor app coming in the spring. Do they think they are Adobe? I stopped using Photoshop and went to Affinty Photo because of this subscription crap. I can understand extra charges for FX and sound packs but this app is only worth at best 24.99
