Great djay review/overview from the team over at Crossfader:
I wish it could have 4 decks for android devices
Doesn’t surprise me that they have given such a great review. Every big dj influencer loves DJ Pro. Obviously like all programmes there are tweaks to be done. What we do know about Algoriddim is that they really listen to their community and will implement if can do and it makes sense. Once liquid glass drops in September it will be really interesting to see how Djay involves. Exciting times ahead.
Hi @Saviour_Peter, I recommend that you create a separate suggestion topic for that so other Android users can upvote it.
Thanks for the positive feedback @Dysfunk_DJ.
It’s a great piece of software but for now only for mid and low range controllers. Since 2022 we are still waiting to release mapping for most important controllers
Yup, the biggest worry for me is turning up at a venue and they have XDJ-1000Mk2 players.
All the other big Pioneer players are supported, but not that one.
What do you consider “the most important controllers”?
Pioner XDJ RR , RX 2 , RX 3 , XZ, AZ , Opus Quad.
Those listed are primarily all in one controllers. RX3 and XZ are already compatible with Mac and possibly windows. Screens don’t work though.
AZ and Opus Quad would be very interesting as they are both class compliant or the AZ is at least. This would mean can use with IOS devices.
Now if Algorddim can get the screens to work that would be amazing. Imagine just plugging in your iPhone and putting it to one side and utilising the screen on AZ. That would rock.
Yeah, always dream about premium controllers working complete with Djay. Plugin a mobile will be a bonus. But in fact, they are don’t working with one of the best Dj software…
A controller like XZ , AZ , Opus Quad , etc. working without screens…Guess nobody want’s that
While I believe this discussion is getting off topic, the XDJ-RX2, RX3 and XZ are all currently supported on macOS and Windows with the limitations noted. DJ Controllers, DJ Mixers and other DJ Accessories | Algoriddim
We will not be supporting the older XDJ-RR.
We are still gathering requests for the AlphaTheta Opus Quad and XDJ-AZ. So, if you haven’t already, please go vote for them at the links below:
Sorry for off topic , just want to mention it’s working with limitation.
Seems a what if is on topic when a third party is not discussing important limitations
I’ve already created the suggestions topic called 3 decks mode
I mean, an iPad mini is about the size of the screens on those all in ones.
I imagine if there was software that allowed you to disconnect the screen on the all in ones and place it higher in a more comfortable viewing position…
What is the point if Opus Quad or AZ will work with limitation…
Hi @Adi_Grecu, I suspect that some users are willing to accept certain limitations and other users are not. Myself for example, I am okay with the fact that the main screen on the Denon Prime 4 isn’t support with djay because I connect my iPad Pro 13 to it which has a much better screen anyway. So, I prefer to have this hardware supported with this limitation instead of not supported at all.
I’ll respect your decision but for me it’s not ok to spent 3500 euros for a controller and not be able to use it in full option. My 2 cent
Thanks for sharing your 2 cents and input @Adi_Grecu.
