Hi @pelim, thanks for continuing to show interest in support for this hardware. I will bring this to the dev team again for consideration.

Second :raised_back_of_hand: It’s crazy to me that there isn’t support for these players. I’d jump so fast from Rekordbox to DJay Pro if I could just use my hardware.

Please add support for xdj1000mk2 for windows. Was about to move to Djay from Rekordbox… but I guess not :frowning:

@Slak_Jaw Thanks for bringing it to the dev team again! Any update on Advanced HID support for the Pioneer XDJ-1000MK2?

You’re welcome @pelim. We don’t have any updates to share on this.

Ok but can you confirm both cdj3000’s and xdj1000mk2s work on Mac with djay pro?
If that’s the case I’m happy to buy a Mac I really want to start live remixing in the club with neural tools it’s so much fun on the app!

I answered you in the other post. You need a macOS device to use these. Note that the XDJ-1000MK2 is not supported though. Only MK1.

Ok thanks for confirming

What is advanced hid support? I thought it worked with Mac OS?
I actually managed to get it going on windows (but without screen input) and the jog/vinyl wheels were very smooth I’m sure it’s accessing hid mode here.

Oh darn that’s disappointing. There’s not a lot of difference between the two models. I wonder if mk2s still work if djay thinks they are mk1?

I managed to MIDI map the mk2 quite well on windows - Just no screen :worried:

Advanced HID support means the hardware connects to the software using HID (Human Interface Device) mode instead of acting like a ā€œnormalā€ MIDI controller or just sending audio.

  • Faster response: Buttons, jog wheels, screens, and lights react quicker than MIDI.
  • Better jog wheels: Smoother scratching and pitch bending.
  • On-screen displays: Some decks show waveforms, track info, or cue points directly on the hardware screens.

I’m not 100% sure, but I believe there are currently some underlying technical differences that prevent the MK2 from being natively supported with djay.
