What we’ve got here is failure to communicate… ![]()
I was saying that VirtualDJ has no missing features on Windows compared to Mac.
I definitely HAVE tried djay Pro on Windows, so I am most certainly confirming it.

I need to stick my oar in here with continuing disappointment with djay pro, why after 5 years of asking do I not have screen support for my xdjxz , supports AZ not XZ even though VDJ has supported it from day one. If djay pro want pro support, support the PRO devices, arguably the most pro standalone device for 5 years and no screens
Thanks for the continued feedback on this @paul_gordon
I totally agree that each dj software has its unique sound signature, even though the connected audio soundcard (mixer, controller) has a major influence.
We have 3 setups in my club (SZ, Rane perfomer and Rane70/12 mk2).
On a single setup, with flat EQ’s, if you launch:
I am yet to test out djay 5.xx back-to-back with serato on a similar setup. I know +3db comes to around the same levels as serato. Pretty sure I will hear a difference.
My assumption was that “stability” meant lack of crashes.
Guys, vote now!
This is my favorite option in the poll. Nice one @jefuqs ![]()
This is the right answer here. We should be less concerned what other people are using or not using or what they think about it.
What’s important is that you enjoy using the software, it works well, stable and doesn’t limit and hopefully enables greater creativity.
People care too much about other people’s opinions when most of the time it doesn’t really matter.
The only judgement that matters is if people vibe with the music you play. It really doesn’t matter what you use. And if it works well for you then awesome, share the experience with others with no expectations.
I’ve been a traktor and rekordbox user since 2008, I just discovered djay pro by chance a couple months ago and have been super impressed. It’s definitely opened up many creative possibilities seamlessly and intuitively and breathed new life and joy into my music collection and how I mix.
Thanks for sharing @ajayabc
I wonder who this mysterious “someone” is. ![]()
Someone else needs to realise that the idea is to not limit/restrict users to two or four decks. There are many uses for extra decks. People don’t just use the software in clubs.
It does absolutely matter what I use. djay on iPad is my main go to. I manage on Serato.. so the venue dictates what I use …..if i cant bring my own controller more than likely it will be a controller that is not mapped 100% to djay or is not iOS compatible. So I bring the MacBook and use Serato.. I also have gear that I like to use but does not work with djay. So in my instance it absolutely matters what I use and what is offered by other software. In a hip hop field dominated by Serato, sometimes I feel selfish especially when other dj wanna jump on but I’m on a iPad. So there are many right answers and options and solutions not 1 @ajayabc
I agree with you, and that’s what I meant that it shouldn’t matter what you use. IMO what defines pro is being able to be flexible and use a variety of tools to get the job done. I still use CDJs / Thumbdrives when its a pain to set up my laptop, even though I would much prefer to use something else or when going B2B with others.
