- The new beatgrid is automatically analyzed the first time you load a song in djay Pro 5.0.
- After the first analyzation is completed, djay Pro 5.0 stores these in the djaymedialibrary database for future use when loading the same track.
- All old beatgrids prior to 5.0 are ignored because this is a completely new system from the ground up.
Hi @11157, thanks for sharing this. Are you able to access the Contact Support section from within the app Settings to submit a support ticket directly?
“All old beatgrids prior to 5.0 are ignored because this is a completely new system from the ground up.”
Any benefit in deleting the old library and starting afresh then?

this application “djay pro” can’t be opened 11
@11157 okay, thanks again. I have forwarded this directly to engineering to see if they have any suggestions.
I suppose the problem is with the account authorization, if you have an access in table with users log you need to reset my account that has the error , as mine error “11”, to add again the licence as new …thank u
I’ve got one question, where is there vocal cut transition that he mentions in the video?
I can only see vocal sustain no cut option
@Darb1618 this was in an earlier pre-public beta release. Seems it was removed in the official public 5.0 release.
No, I just tested it. It’s only when a “controller is connected.” I was thinking they left it out too but that’s not the case.
Ok thank god, I haven’t plug in my controller yet just saw the update and wanted to test it all out!
I just did this, reloaded/reanalyzed my entire library, totally worth it (plus knowing there’s no old data hanging around). The new Beat Grid system is wicked solid. Afterwards, manually adjusting cues/loops as I play each song, to make sure they’re in sync with the new grids.
Also, very happy with the metadata / tag editing!
Runs well on my 6 core i7 2018 MBP 32GB Radeon Pro 555X 4GB but at 80% quality
My 27" quad core 4.2 with 64GB Ram and Radeon Pro 575 4GB 2017 iMac also runs at 80% quality
Stems sound better than before, but not as good as 100% on Apple Silicon…
Definitely sounds better than the reduced Quality mode VDJ run at
I tried editing the metadata under the “I” information tab on the right. When I click or double click a field, nothing happens, except strangely once it allowed me to edit a field. But generally, I still can’t edit any data. Is there something I am missing?
Also, would have been even better if the iOS version allowed metadata editing as well.
Edit: OK so I got it to work by checking the setting to allow medtadata editing inline by doubleclicking in the library. However, I still can’t edit in the information pane.
Beautiful update. Now please support Denon Prime GO
- In djay macOS, metadata can be edited in My Collection or My Files.
- Editing can be done in the side i information panel.
- There’s an option in Settings to edit metadata directly by double-clicking.
Tracks in Apple Music/iTunes have very limited/restricted metadata access (like 3 fields). You can get around this by using My Files to link directly to your Apple Music/iTunes Library. You might have to refresh the Apple Music/iTunes data manually.
How good would it be to be able to use mixed in key cue points with this new update
Do I take it that the iPad 11” 3rd gen or later will also perform NM @ 100% given it is an M1?
The 5th gen or later you mention is the 12.9” M1 presumably.
Cheers.
Issues!!!Saved Bpm’s weren’t working! Very twitchy!
I’ve noticed on DJ Angelo video he has vocal cut transition effect on his iPhone but on my iPhone 13 it isn’t there.
How ever on my iPad Pro 12.9 5th edition the effect is there.
Any idea why this would be? The vocal cut effect seems the most cool and would be a shame not to have also on my iphone.
Maybe this?
