Hi Warren
Thanks for reaching out. No I was not doing anything else. I prefer full screen. I have a weekly gig and the problem happens just about every week.
Il currently playing a gig at the Vancouver club here in BC and this idj pro went wonky again. Keeps sending the feed to the headphones directly to the house… Jesus Fu&@"&kin terrible! Fix this now!
Believe it when I see it.
I too purchased my iDJ Pro just shy of two months ago.
Immediately I notified the shop I purchased this from of the issue.
At which point it worked for a total of 3hours.
So, not wanting to cause any damage or to look like an idiot at the numerous house parties this festive period has brought, I have sat by, hoping this thread will provide a simple software update. All the while, the iDJPRO sat like a pretty coloured oversized and rather expensive paperweight.
So during a small gathering at mine on Friday, I decided to boot the think up, give it another go, hope that things were fixed… now it is every ten minutes this issue occurs and sometimes even rebooting doesn’t fix the issue…
This has now gone on just long enough that I cannot get a refund, the shop offers to repair or replace like for like… but what is the point in that as it will still provide the same issues…
Warren, this is a serious issue. everyone here has forked out a good chunk of their hard earned salary to enjoy their passion… Music.
Surely working for such a company you must share this passion…
Then you know what it is like to have that passion scratched away at.
Some of these poor people (maybe mis infomred) are loosing an income source because of this… (Seriously unsure why you would rely on this though…)
The hardest part is that this product has significant potential and for the small time it does work, can produce some mind blowing fun and great mixes. especially if you are used to using traktor or ableton.
It’s nice and compact and protects your ipad… genius!
Shame it is not fit for purpose and now there is nothing we can do other than wait and hope you provide us with a swift resolution.
Maybe, you should come and visit those of us having such issues (if you cannot recreate them!?)
Then maybe we can all get a nice xmas gift of a working product?
Thank you for the update Warren! I’m sure you have A LOT of people with the same issue (like me).
ipad 2, ios7, djay2
Where you running full-screen library Daniel?
Hi Brandon:
This may be a dumb question but: You said you got another new update today.
How/where did you go for your updates?
And when you say various bug fixes…did this update fix this issue that everyone seems to be having?
Thank you Brandon!
I have. I have turned automix to on and then cued songs up and manually adjusted the transition type and speed based on the song and my personal choice. About 30-60minutes into it, I had the issue of my “cued song” playing on one of my two speakers while the other (active) song was playing…I little embarrassing.
Actually Brandon, I was using my library (quite actively) during the automix. I would select a particular song and then cue it up…when I pressed the “cue (headphone) button” the problem would occur (and if I remember correctly, it may have ALSO occurred when pressing the PLAY button on the cued song).
Just an observation of my own. Was running DJAY1 on my idjpro with my ipad2 32gb with 3G last Saturday (Note:I use “AUTOMIX” but am constantly changing the type/length of “tranisition” I use based on the song being played next). Like other posts I’ve read, it seems like “the problems” occur after 1-2hrs of active use. The problem for me was that when I pressed the “LOAD” button on the controller, the music menu would pop up but not allow me to scroll down (using my finger in the ipad2) without the menu popping back up to the top. FYI-About 25-40minutes prior to this occurring I was on the local Wi-Fi service and using iTunes to download requested music I did not have. I had to decided to shutoff the controller (the downtime felt like forever but the audience decided to help out and sing X-mas carols) and turn it back on. I then switched to idjay2. No problems for the remaining 1-2 hrs. Sooo.i wonder if the problem is has to do with overusing the iPad while using the idjay1/2 app?
Cant say i have noticed any sync issues, had one issue whilst looping a track but turned out it was the actual track causing the issue.
Gee can you give the names of 2 tracks your having issues with, i dont mind trying them out to see if i can replicate your problem.
I have ipad 4 and iOS 7 and can not get iDJ LIVE to work, please help!!!
I had the same problem crop up last night. First time using Djay 2. I also used Spotify to play some guest playlists and it also affected playback there by muting one speaker. Djay was still running the background. It was intermittent driving me nuts thinking there was a bad cable or something. Also, the sound through the phones jack on the idj had both channels working fine. I need to go back and try Djay 1 to see if the new firmware may be the culprit.
Warren,
Thanks for the update and suggested workaround. It show you guys care.
That’s ok. In lack of real communication the vacuum will be filled by the community and competitors. We are not party to an “investigation”. Right now we are victims of fraudulent business practices. You offered a solution in exchange for money, we paid our money and you have not delivered. It sounds harsh but it’s the simple truth from from the perspective of your customers that are being converted to victims with every passing day and every gig where the product is rendered useless for the advertised purpose.
Well… you have to give them credit for making us feel like real schmucks patiently waiting for them to work out this “top priority”.
It will come packaged with the app update like the last time I presume.
The rep was well trained.
Same issue here. Djay2 with iPad 3 and IOS 7. What a garbage product. I have spent close to $5000 in Numark products over the past 10 years and thy have now lost my business for good. My goal is to write as many negative reviews on Idjpro, on as many sites as possible. Who releases a product that doesn’t perform the one simple function it was designed to
do? It’s like buying a new car and finding out the brakes don’t work. Epic fail Numark.
