Thanks bro
I agree with you in the point that the problem is obviously the iDJ app. However, Numark keeps promoting it and selling it without any warnings and they also need to take responsibility in this matter because THEIR PRODUCT DOESN’T WORK and they need to push the software developer to fix the problem, also they have to stop promoting the product if Algoriddim doesn’t come up with a fix. Thanks for the time you are investing in this issue Mauricio. Greetings.
I think this is a good suggestion. I use DJ Player also. if you guys are having the same problem with that app then it could be the IDJ Pro. I believe it’s a combination of iOS upgrade, dJAY upgrade and Numark Firmware.
I’ve purposefully didn’t use djay2 because of this post. Last night I decided to test it out. Personally I like djay1s library big view. The small view is way too small. Is there a way to change this? But other than that, I used it for about 3 hours and had none of the problems that exist on here. I have a iPad 2 64gb iOS 7.0.4 just wifi and a new idj pro, December that replaced an old one I had because of an unrelated problem. Now I do have to say that I rarely use key lock because I found that the only time djay1 gave me any problems was when I overused the key lock feature, therefore I’ve gotten into the habit of not using it.
Question for you, dj player keeps saying that the upgrade is half off until NYE but when it try to download it it’s still 9.99. How do you get the 50% off deal.
I’m not defending the companies but guys you have to remember that if they can’t consistently duplicate the problem then it’s going to be a long time to fix. The reality is that there are a lot of people who have the same products but don’t have the problem. And to add more complications it seems that some people have narrowed down the culprit to different sources.I seriously think the best thing to do is to return the product you think is the culprit for service or start to troubleshoot to narrow down the possibilities. Do you have the same issue with other apps like traktor or dj player? Do you have the same problems using someone else’s iPad? Do you have the same problem when you are not using the Numark? If everyone is coming up win different answers then you know that it will take a long time for the companies to figure it out.
I had the same problem and people can hear my cue. even when I use cross fader to the left, the sound makes a spark noise and my cue drops.
I have the same issue and I believe It must be a manufacture error from numark. I hope this issue gets resolve and gets a firmware update as well.
I agree you guys need to get this issue fix and/or I’m about to buy another controller and never buy an numark product in my life again. And I havnt had this controller not even a full year and lots of bugs and glitches. Wtf it sounds to me numark made their money and I’m starting to think, they don’t give a fuck about the consumers anymore…since they got our money.

IDJ Pro Crossfader Control Problems.
Just recently purchased Numark iDJ Pro product 5/20/2013. Docked IPad2 with new DJay software update and iOS update. Tried the Crossfader, when slid to the right hears the left table and when slid to the left hears the right table. Pretty much working opposite. Need a quick fix before gig tomorrow thru Sunday! Please help!
I am glad to hear that the latest Djay2 update seems to have addressed some of the iOS7 / IDJ Pro issues. As a long time user (iPad3 / IDJ Pro / iOS6 / Djay latest version), I still also have not upgraded to iOS7 specifically because of the bugs that were reported here. I am a professional DJ so no time for those problems.
HOWEVER, my biggest problem with Djay2 (vs Djay) is that the synch algorithm is still noticeably worse. Does anyone else experience this and - if so - has anyone found that the latest DJay2 upgrade made any difference? Because i have not.
Specifically: mixing two tracks in Djay where i hit synch keeps those tracks aligned for the whole track. Hitting synch on Djay2 for the same two tracks sees them drift relatively quickly. I have tested Djay2 with a number of sets of two tracks that i like to mix on Djay and in many cases Djay2 does not hold the synch over the course of the mix.
Warren, are you not still hearing about this issue? And if so, when will it be fixed?
All of other nice features of the latest Djay2 upgrade - harmonic / key matching, fixing the problem where the volume dropped when using filters, etc - are really nice, but i refuse to use Djay2 (instead of Djay) until the synch issue is fixed.
Why can’t you guys reintroduce the original Djay synch engine into Djay2?
I have the exact thing happening at my gigs. I have complained to Algoriddim and Numark and they both seem to not have a fix for this. I don’t even know if they are working on a fix. I have not seen any press releases or hopeful responses from either company. I have decided to sell my Numark idj Pro. It went on Craigslist today and if no response, then it will be posted on ebay. I’m going to a Pioneer product. It’s a shame, it had potential for being a nice forward thinking system.
I have good results doing this:
Have the ipad disconnected from idj pro and turn idj pro off
Shut down all programs running in background on ipad
Put ipad on airplane mode
Connect 30 pin connector to idj pro
Start djay app
Put pre-cue setting on auto select
Put music search on full screen mode
Use waveform view ( not turntable view)
Turn idj pro on and let it register with djay app
This works for me
I have ipad3 / ios7 / djay 2
All the latest updates running
In the interest of trying to save people’s jobs and integrity, I try to offer interim solutions from research into the problem of house audio going berzerk with idjPro, djay2 and ios7. Here is a solution in the mean time that works for me. On your iPad, go into settings, general and accessibility… change the audio output from stereo to mono. I know, a lot of us like the stereo imaging, but in the club, mass dance arena, people really don’t care and it actually sounds beefier. You may need to mess with your eq settings a bit. But guys, even if during your performance the problem where one side goes out, the music still plays in all speakers, because mixing down to mono combines both stereo channels into one. Now, the volume level may drop just a bit, but nothing as embarassing as having an entire speaker go out, then you have time to switch to another music source and reset the idjPro and djay. Another thing, if you don’t use siri on your iPad, disable it. I use the Bose L1 system, so mono is natural.
Algoriddim, I cannot believe that we are the ones trying to find help and solutions to this mess among ourselves. You are offering no solutions or even things to try in the mean time. Shame on you!! Man up and fix this!! Or at least get more involved in the conversation!!
That being said, I know the challenges involved with running a company and things are not as simple as one may think to fix mishaps. But making sure that all your clients are happy is job ONE, so thank you in advance for working on a FINAL solution.
So, I find this so wierd that different ipads and idjPros seem do act differently. What works for one doesn’t necessarily work across the board!? Algoriddim, we really need your help here!!
Thank you Brandon. I know the pain. Just trying to relieve it a bit.

Idjay on ipad having volume jump problems with ios7 and Numark’s idj Pro.
Is there a known problem with the volume levels going up and down when using Numark’s idj Pro? I was playing at a gig and when pre-cueing, the sound would start coming out of the public main speakers and the volume increased dramatically. Is this a problem with the new ios7 upgrade? Anyone?
DJay 1 on iOS7 works perfectly for me. Used it twice at gigs this weekend with no hiccups. It is DJay 2 causing the issues and is therefore a software issue.
Dear Algoriddim - this is not a toy. Many of us see this as the future of our craft and have embraced it. Your app, an iPad and the Numark controller make a very powerful tool and such setups are the future of the industry, as the PC market becomes tablet based.
Fix this fast please.
Still waiting guys… how about an update??
Thanks Warren.
For the record, I use an iPad 2 with iOS 7.
Odd that this same feature was causing lockups in the first release…
That said, I MUCH prefer the playlist pop-over view and do hope you can fix it!
