Hi @Austinjacobm94, thanks for the video and additional info. Our team is working hard on some updates for these DVS issues. We don’t have a release date yet, but this is definitely in active development. I’ll share more news when I have.
Is there any sort of guidance / documentation on how sync and flutter/wow devices like turntables should behave? I’m using Phase and if I just mix manually it’s fine. If I give Sync a go, it all goes horribly wrong, but I’m honestly not sure if it’s to be expected or what the behaviour should be.
Yep following for these issue also, i resort to turning sync on/off for now, would love an update
do we still have these issues?
djay 5.5 Release Notes:
DVS and Motorized Controllers
- Added option to disable waveform scaling with pitch
- Added MIDI actions to switch control modes and improve slip-mode behavior
- Improved beat-sync accuracy and “BPM only” tempo linking
- Applied pitch-fader adjustments to platter speed; improved pitch bend and instant-start stability
Quickly reinstalled Djay, gave it a quick 30 minute spin, and so far, Sync and DVS finally play ball now. Thanks to the tech team for the effort that they put into this.
Excellent! Thanks for the positive feedback @jimbobatzke
Hi slak
Just finish a 2 hour set on dvs mode, with timecodes on cdj
The bpm sync works flawlessly, pitch adjustment also felt more responsive
Bravo!! Send my regards to the dev team for the excellent work
And with the onelibrary, tommorow im gonna try dvs on my ipad, so thank you
Thanks for the follow up @echa0361
I actually started getting a really getting solid DVS experience with the following (even before 5.5!).
Equipment:
- Technics mk2
- Phase HID
- Numark Scratch
I basically beat match by ear because why not. Then I hit sync (BPM only), at that point I pitch bend them to get them perfectly aligned (touching the platter just makes it go badly, probably to be expected!) and then they seem pretty locked from what I can tell.
Look forward to trying 5.5 and seeing what it’s all like now ![]()
