+1 Would love this feature too, I would use it as a ‘locked groove’, as I have on some of my vinyl records.
I took a closer look at the implementation in DJ Player Pro. This has not really something to do with the 8th cue point, but with the last of the eight possible slots for storing loops. If the song reaches this position, this loop is automatically activated. There this is called “trap”. This is an implementation that I can also imagine very well for Djay Pro.
+1 for this. Been wanting this feature for a long time.
Maybe they’ve changed it? My quote is 4 years old…
Edit: you raise a valid point though. It could be any of the loop slots of course.
Are you sure that this works with every slot? The manual on the homepage explicitly refers to the 8th slot:
“If you save a loop for the 8th slot, then it becomes a “trap”. When a music reaches the starting point of the trap, the loop is automatically activated.”
Ultimately, however, this is not so important, I think, it would be nice if DJay Pro would offer such a possibility in principle.
No. I thought that was what you were saying…
Yes I was looking for the same thing. I’d like to end a session with the option to save as opposed to having to record it first to save it. Kind of like Pro Tools & logic Pro interfaces allow you to end a session & auto-save it as you left it.
It seems that this contribution has been heard by the development department:
Release notes for January 18th (v4.1.4)
Added option to activate Saved Loop 1 on song load

I was looking for the auto loop cue point feature so I can have it automatically engage like I could in Rekordbox and Serato. However I don’t see where I can do this. I would like to have the loop activate automatically and name it Outro for example. So that when I bring in the mix I don’t have to activate it manually or switch to saved loops and activate it. Can you show me how I can set this up. I left the other music software cause you guys are by far better. However there certain features they have where I use it all the time.
Hi @FLORIDA_BEAT_MAKERS, I’ve moved this discussion to another more related thread: Enable Saved Loops automatically
I did this. How do I save it as a cue point where I can store it as a cue point and color it. Or this is not possible I would have to click saved loops on mixer then activate it.
@FLORIDA_BEAT_MAKERS, you need to first open the Saved Loops section in djay. Then set your Outro Loop in the #1 slot of the saved loops. I’ve shared a screenshot of how this looks on iOS, but it should be pretty similar on other OS’s.
Thanks. I did this but it’s not engaging automatically when it hits that saved loop. I have to engage it manually.
You need to set the loop then load a different song into that deck. Then reload that same song. This setting only works on Song Loading.
I think I figured it out but it doesn’t activate it automatically unless I go to my saved loops and manually activate it. Then when it gets to this point it will engage. I see it does it but a bit differently than the other softwares in Djay.
I thought it did it like Serato where you set the que point then you tell Serato if it is a qué point or a loop if I click loop it does it automatically without me engaging it.
Thank you for all your help
You’re welcome @FLORIDA_BEAT_MAKERS. Just reload the track and it should automatically engage the loop without you having to manually activate it in the Saved Loop.
Note that when you are first setting these loops in a track, you need to reload the track into the deck to initially activate the loop. However, all future times that you load the track, the loop will be engaged automatically. This is initiated on Song Loading. So when you first set the loop, you need to reload it to initiate the setting. Hopefully that makes sense.
Yes just did it and it loaded the loop right away. Thank you so much. I was getting frustrated over this feature.
Now if they would allow us to load up our own loops and sync them like Traktors mix decks that would be awesome.
