If I set a loop on the inactive deck, sometimes (3 or 4 times a session) by the time I come to mix it in the track has carried on playing past the loop, even though the loop is still set if I look back on the WAV.
Obviously this is fairly annoying as exiting a loop at the right time is an important part of mixing tracks.
Here is a video! So the loop on the left does it after I speed the track on the right up. I’ve added a link to the video, I’m not sure how to upload it here straight off my line.
Thanks for sharing your experience! You mentioned that the track is a WAV file—do you think this issue might be related to the file format? That detail caught my attention, which is why I’m curious if it could be a factor in how loops are handled.
Happened twice to me yesterday during a gig. When you are ready to come in with a new track which is beatmatched and ready to go, playing on a starting loop, you suddenly realize it is already already going forward on it’s own. I started to pay close attention to that, but I have no Idea how I am supposed to record a video of it, cause it appears to be absolutely random.
It’s happening a lot more frequently now! the file format is whatever tidal is because that’s what I use! It’s making the software almost unusable as a professional DJ!
same with offline files. Happened tonight 3-4 times. I kind of got used to it, just keeping my loops in check all the time, but still very much uncomfortable.
It happens so many times a day, but I got so used to it, that I also forget that I need to do something to record a video of it. But that got me so focused on checking the loops now haha, keeps you concentrated
