Hi I’m new to the forum and noticed lots of interesting set ups on a recent post.
I’m coming off a FLX4 as it malfunctioned so I’ve got an opportunity to get something a little more professional and robust.
I’m keen on the Rane One MK2 but conversations with Djay technical team suggest that it’s not entirely mapped yet.
One set up of 2 x LC6000 Prime’s and the Reloop Mix Tour Pro looks really interesting. Does anyone know how well it integrates with Djay Pro please? Are all the features in the software useable?
I’m using an iPad air.
Two decks is ample for me .I like the thought of motorised platters but it’s not essential. I’ve also considered a turntable / DVS set up.
Hi @Huwblut, welcome to the Community! I’ve been using this as my main setup for a few months now. The integration with djay is excellent. As far as I can tell, all the features are useable. Plus you can always customize the MIDI mappings for both the Mixtour Pro and the LC6000s to suit your DJ style/workflow. Also, because each LC6000s has 4 Deck control, you can quite effectively mix with 4 Decks on this setup.
I do recommend that you get a high quality, powered USB hub along with high quality USB cables to connect everything to your iPad though. Hopefully your iPad Air model has a USB-C port instead of Lightning as that will simplify your setup a bit. I hope that helps!
I have one sitting on my desk as we speak, and I really like it, but I wouldn’t mind a smaller form factor. There’s nothing like it though, is there? Not without a mixer anyway…
I always recommend Swan Flight for cases, but i am a little biased as they are local to me and ive been using them for 25yrs or so.
They might be a bit overkill for an LC-6000 though, it’ll probably weigh more than the unit itself.
Magma are also great, thats my bag of choice for DJ gigs with my Prime 2, nice and light and as Slak Jaw says when used with a decksaver its a great combo.
