How to set and view cue notes

Hi,

I am new to Djay and I was wondering how I can best add written notes to my cue points and see them on the grid/wave form. If this is not possible, can this feature be implemented? It would be great to see the reasoning behind a certain cue point in a glance.

Also, I was wondering how and where cue points are saved and synced. Some explanation on that would be very helpful. Thanks!

  1. The “Tools” area next to the jog wheels can be used to edit cue points. The example below shows a cue point named Vocals #1.

  2. In macOS, there is also a toolbar called “Tools Bar”  :face_with_raised_eyebrow: (underneath the Play button).

notes: by default, time stamps are shown, otherwise it shows the name.

Thanks all, found it!

Is it possible to display the notes on the waveform?

And could you maybe also explain where the cues are saved? Is it like a local file that keeps track or are they somehow uploaded to the cloud?

Thanks again!

You’re welcome @oleander. It’s not currently possible to display the hot cue names on the waveform, but this has been suggested below if you’d like to go there an vote for the feature:

The hot cues are saved in the djayMediaLibrary database. You can find out more below:
