Wondering if the first downbeat could just be stored (and thus cloud-shared) as an invisible cue point.
Or a visible one - Traktor does something similar. You can re-assign hot cues as grid markers and vice versa.
How many times does this have to be requested? I have 1000’s of songs and I shouldn’t have to input beat grid information again when I switch devices.
Still no saving of beat grid in the latest version. Please implement saving of beat grid start points with iCloud.–
Found out this wasn’t synced the hard way. Spent the afternoon beatgridding and making playlists on my mac only to find out they weren’t synced over to my iPad.
Would love it if both my deviced were more in sync.
This got me as well. What a waste of time.
Ditto for me…full iCloud based syncing please!
Please, add these features to iCloud sync.
Restoring a library backup works fine but I’m still missing the beat grids and configured app settings.
Can you please point out how we could manually back up and restore the beat grids on an iPad?
I discovered that on the iPad there is a hidden folder named .algoriddim which contains a subfolder named Metadata. The files in the Metadata folder contain all the beat grid information.
This folder is not shown in Finder, so it isn’t easy to back up.
I discovered the hidden folder .algoriddim and Metadata subfolder with the iMazing App.
I would have hoped there was an easier backup and restore option but at least we have a workaround now.
A thousand times, yes. My first ‘whaaaat!?’ was when I discovered playlists aren’t synced. But now I’m finding out beatgrids aren’t synced either! (and we need those, because unfortunately DJay’s analysis isn’t perfect).
Dear Algoriddim friends: being cross-device, as a DJ-app, is not useful if you don’t sync the stuff you need to be a DJ, like playlists, cuepoints and beatgrids.
Beatgrids Eh.
Seemingly impossible for algoriddim to allow for syncing across devices after all the updates…
I was at a Gig on the weekend and the DJ had real issues with tracks not syncing in the correct places. Asked her afterwards what the issue was and she had switched devices and all the beat grids (which she had painstakingly applied) on one device were not transferred to the other. It RUINED what was would have been an awesome set with what is supposed to be a PRO application.
AGAIN, I ask as I have on various threads and to support over the years, WHEN will you implement beat grid transfer across devices?
Perhaps it will take a version 3 to have the basics in place and working?
Beatgrid sync still has not been addressed in the latest update. Still cannot transfer saved beat grids across devices.
I contacted support and really it seemed like support didn’t know this feature is not implemented.
It seems madness that when serrato has amazing beatgrid adaptability and other applications do too that this PRO application does not. There are many threads requesting it FOR YEARS and all support will say is they will give it to technical team. You need NEW technical team I think…
Music will always play incorrectly when incorrect beatgrid/start grid regardless of cue. Also, there is no point having compatibility across devices if you have to enter all your beatgrid information again and again and again. I have 6gb of music and I am Bitterly Disappointed with the support, the technical team and generally paying for an application that claims to be PRO?
You’re dreaming if you think this will be fixed out this century.
I’ve contacted support on a few occasions, they forward on the suggestion to their (Programming Dream Team) and then… Nothing!
Maybe no one wants to work there as a programmer anymore? Heard some rumors from an employee who left some years ago.
I need to vent my anger a bit here, as I’m realizing more and more that the app doesn’t promise what it costs. And I spend more time troubleshooting than making music.
Perhaps everyone requesting this feature for the last 3 years should leave one star reviews on the App Store detailing the support and development team failure on this issue.
The thing that bothers me the most is that Algoriddim does not communicate anything about this ongoing issue. Why is that? Total radio silence…
Perhaps this isn’t as easy as it sounds. I get it that some people are getting impatient, but leaving 1 star reviews because of a requested feature not being implemented fast enough…
This has been requested for 3 years, so hardly impatient.
Although I don’t believe the app deserves 1 star I do share your disappointment as this is a basic feature that has not been implemented for 3 years.
If you want to use an iPad for one session and a computer for another you will not have the same information on both devices even though the sync has been done.
It is incredibly frustrating to have to constantly change beatgrid information across a number of devices even though the music is the same library every time new tracks are added.
When you see that other apps can save this information, not only across devices but also across drives such as usb, which just plug & play you see that there is a fundamental and necessary element to a Pro application that is missing here.
Perhaps further down the line if this has not been addressed I will probably have to rethink my review…
ALSO, it says the topic will close in 7 days.
They usually stay live for a year after the last reply. So not sure why there doing that???
I’ll paste this topic in another yet another beatgrid request topic.
