Incorrect Hot Cue colors from RB OneLibrary export

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

I encountered an issue where tracks exported from rekordbox via One Library have incorrect cue colors displayed in djay.

As shown in the image, the colors appear correctly on the Mixtour Pro hardware, but are displayed incorrectly in the djay software main interface.

However, when editing the cue colors within the software, the color dropdown list shows the correct colors, which is quite confusing.

Additionally, the cue colors are correct in rekordbox.

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • Create a new playlist in djay and add tracks to it.
  • Export the playlist to a One Library USB drive.
  • Open the tracks in rekordbox, analyze them, then add cue points and set their colors.
  • The issue occurs.

Hi @yoo_stan, thanks for the details about the issue and your setup - this is very helpful. Do you experience the same issue if you use the External Apps source and access your RB Collection from there?

I used this feature to export the XML file and then imported it into djay.

The number of cue points was reduced to only three, as shown in the image.

The colors are different from those in rekordbox, but they are correct (including on the Mixtour hardware).

Additionally, this was my first time using this feature in rekordbox.

  • I added two tracks in djay and set 4 cue points for the first track and 3 cue points for the second track, using the default colors.
  • I opened the USB drive in rekordbox and imported the tracks.
  • I found that all cue points were green (I understand this may be due to color incompatibility).
  • I changed the cue colors in rekordbox, as shown in the image.
  • After returning to djay and opening One Library, the cue colors were still the default. However, Cue 4 of Track 1 should be red but is displayed as yellow, and Cue 3 of Track 2 was also changed to red but is displayed as blue in djay.
  • It appears that some of djay’s original default colors were preserved (for example, Cue 1 of Track 2, which is shown as green in rekordbox), while some colors changed in rekordbox were applied successfully (for example, Cue 3 of Track 2).
  • The file format is MP3.

Hi everyone,
I’ve encountered a similar problem, but in reverse.
I export a playlist from Djay to a USB stick, and when I import it into Rekordbox, all the cue point colors are green.
Then it imports everything, grids, cue points, comments, etc, but the cue points no longer have their original colors; they’re all green!
