I don’t see how the two things would be possible at the same time (unless you have perfect timing, in which case no quantising should be necessary).
In other words, the playback would only be instant if you happened to press play exactly at the right time. If your timing is bad (so you need quantise) then the system would have to wait for the next correct grid marker before playing.
Thanks for the suggestion @Gianni_Notarnicola. Can you please try to capture a short video of how this works in Traktor Pro, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? This will really help to communicate your suggestion to the dev team. Thanks!
Hi @Gianni_Notarnicola, thanks for continuing to push this suggestion. I will share news here when I have it. In the meantime, please refer to the linked topic below regarding suggestions and our voting system. Thanks!
It’s already been 5 months since I submitted this request, which looks a lot like yours:
Would you be able to read through it and see if we are both highlighting the exact same points? Do we have the same goals here? My main frustration is that not much has really improved in the software, especially regarding these specific issues.
Due to the low release and improvement rate from Algoriddim, it feels like we’re running in circles. Users keep writing and submitting similar improvement requests, but because of the slow release cycle, users become disengaged, and the requests fade away—only to be brought up again by another highly involved user. (In fact, I’m noticing more and more “need-to-haves” being recycled in this way.)
However, considering the number of votes on my request (18 votes) and yours (9 votes right now), it seems we’ve gained some involvement, which will hopefully lead to some priority for this development. Don’t you think?
