There was no Djay support yet
Would love to try it.
Hi Christiaan,
100%
I mainly use Serato and on the odd occasion Rekordbox.
For my newIy downloaded tracks, I create my que points then sync them to Serato and Virtual DJ.
Now the beauty DJay Pro is that it got the Grid and BPM on point. So if I could do all my que points in Djay Pro, then sync to all my other software, that would save me time to work on arrange my music into playlists/ crates.
So please do us all a solid and get this one done.
Still in the test phase of using Djay Pro as my main software but there will always be cases when I only have a memory stick on my and want to get on the decks, without my laptop.
I surely hope and pray that you do get it done.
Cheers,
Monte
Hi Christiaan,
On another note, to me it is a simple thing, the first one to do it on Windows, and do it well, I’ll gladly sign up by switching my subscription from Lexicon to what ever software it is.
Thanks,
Monte
Good to hear! A seamless workflow is the goal, workarounds aren’t acceptable for Lexicon
Im v interested. DJPro is my main DJ instrument now. But, iOS support is what I want as I use Ipad Pro with controller Reloop Buddy.
My main ask is the ability to easily share my DJPro library with all cues, bpms etc across devices. the ability to convert between eg Serato so I can share my work with DJ collaborators on other platforms would be amazing tho!
x
Good to hear @Christiaan !
I use Djay on iPad…
We’ll to wait for Algoriddim to improve syncing between apps and devices I’m afraid.
Would be very cool for Lexicon to work on iOS
I would love this! So so much
Quick update: importing into Lexicon is just about done, next step is exporting to Djay Pro and then a beta release will follow. More after the holidays!
Nice! Will it also be possible to export to DJay on iOS?
I know you have a Lexicon iOS app, so in theory you could export to the DJay medialibrary in local storage on the iOS device?
No, iOS makes that very difficult or impossible
Hi @Christiaan,
Would Algoriddm perhaps entertain the possibly of adding Lexicon DJ as a Media Source in their iOS app? (I don’t use any streaming services or iTunes so those features are useless for me anyway)
That way Djay Pro iOS could somehow “read” Lexicon DJ and then either import tracks or playlists ins some fashion? (Either locally in the Lexicon iOS app or via a PC?)
Clutching feathers here…
Cheers
James
Hi @Christiaan !!
I’m a big fan of Lexicon and i LOVE it, been using it for almost a year now.
I Changed to Djay recently and really waiting on this update!
Will for sure want to test myself if possible!!
every gig i have i need to export to Serato and then to DJay.
What i love about Lexicon, except all the amazing “Clean Up” features, is the ability to create complex smart playlists and Tags whici is missing in all programs.
Also to search playlists and favorite playlists which doesnt exist in Djay yet sadly.
Would love to see seemless intergration - both in and out - and this is importatnt, so al the play counts will be saved in Lexicon also.
Also, the Gridding System in Djay in near Flawless - so if the grid from Djay will be ble to be stored in Lexicon that will be amazing.
Thank you very much for your work!
Happy Holidays
Alon “À La One”.
@James_Gillies Maybe, that’s next steps! Who knows
@Alon_Sharir1 I’ll let you know when there is something to test!
Ok, that’s a shame.
But the DJay exporter in Lexicon could offer a path substitution/mapping feature. Assuming that the audio files are in a single tree on the Mac/PC, say ~/Music/DJ, Lexicon can generate a media library file with all audio file paths fixed. The user can then manually copy the media library file and the audio file directory to local storage on the mobile device.
This would make it so much easier to manage the library on Mac/PC while being able to perform on a mobile device.
