Internal effects through touch screen on a seperate tablet

I have recently started using an ipad for a mobile set up and I really enjoy how the internal effects are applied on the screen. The touchscreen seems a very intuitive way of controlling the effect and filter at the same time.

Is it possible to recreate this kind of thing on a Mac with an old, separate android tablet by mapping it through something like Touch OSC?
