Planned obsolescence …we have to accepted it …you are right , but make an a certain sensation of lack of security and trust on the equipment. agree ?
We’ve tested the latest version of djay 2 for iPad and iPhone and found no issues on iOS 8.
There’s only one artwork loading issue on djay 2 for iPhone on iOS 8 but our developers are already working on this.

Please open the Settings app and go to General > About. Can you see an entry for your controller (somwhere at the bottom)?
How do you DJ with an iPhone?
Studioag1, you might find you will get a better response if you take a less aggressive and confrontational tone.
So stay on the older version of iOS until you are sure it works with iOS8, simple! Don’t get all pissy just because you don’t get an immediate answer to your question. I’m pretty sure that your consumer rights don’t extend to automatic and instant support on an operating system over which they have absolutely no control or influence.
Have you tested it with all the compatible controllers? IDJ Pro / Casio / Wego / Beatpad ect.?
I don’t DJ with a iPhone, but I upgrade my iPhone to iOS 8 and try Djay 2 on my iPhone by itself and then with my two controllers before I upgrade my iPad.
Then if that works with no issues, I will update my wife’s iPad to iOS 8 and try it on the controllers, followed last, by mine, the one I actually use.
However, this time, after messing around with it, iOS8 isn’t such an amazing update that I feel the need to update my iPad right away, until apps require it for their updates.
Djay 2.6.1 on iPad with iOS8 with iMic seems to be broken!
I get sound out of the iMic but as soon as I plug in something to the headphon jack, sound dies in iMic. The usual screen where I can choose which to use for main out/cue comes up, and I can choose the iMic but no sound. If I unplug the headphones, sound through iMic returns.
Had a gig yesterday, was a pain. Have another tonight and can’t get it to work… Any suggestions?
So far so good… although I’ve only tested with my iPhone. Will do the actual iPad later, but it functions as before… fine and dandy.

I recently upgraded my iphone 5s and my ipad mini original to ios8 and now when I connect to my m1xdj it will not recognize the hardware and thus it is unusable
I also own a DDJ Wego2 and it works flawlessly with both my iphone and my ipad mini
Please revise the M1X-DJ Djay 2 with ios8

I have contacted Phillips and I am waiting for their response. It does look like a firmware issue as I did some trouble shotting with Warren from Algoriddim and the DJay 2 app seems to work fine - Thanks Warren!!!
I was able to test my daughters ipad air which has 7.1.2 and it did not work either. I think the last version it worked with was 7.1.1 ( but I am not sure )
The fianl test for me was that the m1x-dj allows to playback from itunes using the lighting connector (without Djay2) and that function is not working either.
The number to call Phillips is 18663097730 option 1 then 3. They offered me a replacement and I said no as I want to do some trouble shooting first.
@arminvanbuuren please tell Phillips to talk to Apple the M1X-DJ does not work with iOS 7.1.2 and it does not work with iOS 8.0.0
