iPad Pro + Reloop Flux

I just wanted to report the excellent integration when using the Reloop Flux with my iPad Pro.

At the moment, I am using it with a Numark dj2go as the midi controller and streaming the djay visualizer.
At first, I was having latency issues and audio drop outs. I was also having a quick static sound when cue’ing.
It was usable, but not perfect.
I did some research here in the community forums and found that turning Bluetooth off on my iPad might help, well, it sure did.

I’m experiencing NO latency or dropouts.

I plan on downloading Serato time code and putting it on flash drives to control djay with my XDJ-700s (replacing the Numark dj2go) tonight.

Next week, or maybe Friday, I want to buy the Serato control vinyl and test the Flux with my Technics.

I will report my findings with time code.

But so far, I’m happy.

Hey all,

Is it possible to use a ipad or phone with Djay, a Reloop Flex, and control vinyl for DVS? Can that setup play from Serato? I know that the Reloop box is not officially supported but according to threads here, it works well if the Bluetooth is off?

I use a Reloop Flux with Djay and Serato control vinyl, it works quite well, and yes turning Bluetooth off definitely helps.

I’d say it’s not quite as accurate as Serato and external midi controllers seem to have a delay on cue points etc, but overall it’s perfectly usable.

I plan on recording a mix in the next couple of weeks so people can hear how accurate it is, or how bad my mixing is lol.

Thanks! Do you use Spotify? How is the vinyl control response? I’m likely going to be using it in absolute mode, so I’m more concerned about that then I am about cue point, loops, etc. Thanks again for the quick response!

No sorry I only DJ with music I own, I imagine it’s largely the same though.
