Regarding the Explorer source, at present this is expected behavior because to sort correctly it has to read all the metadata first from the files.

It seems Djay is no longer reading the BPM at all in the Explorer source
Traktor supports this very convenient workflow

This is the case even after I analyse the files in Djay.
