Hi James,
I followed your guide for X1 MK2 Loop Length LED in djay Pro. I have set up IAC Driver and Bome ports correctly, but stuck at creating the Update Display translators (Rules keep turning red).
Could you please send me your Bome project file (.bmtp).
Thank you very much! This is my email.
Hi Salem,
No problem mate, Iāve just sent it to your email address.
Good luck with it!
Cheers
James
Hi @salembfa123, welcome to the Community! I recommend that you donāt share your email address in public posts and instead share them via DM.
Holy crap! What you created is seriously amazing ā it doesnāt lose to the default driver at all, itās straight-up peak, bro
Hi Salem,
It sounds like you got it working then?? ![]()
Thank you for your kind words mate, itās not perfect but it works 95% which is enough for 99% of my workflow. Letās be honest, most of the time youāre setting a 1-32 beat loop maximum, am I right?
What I DO think is cool is the āBrucieās Bonusā of the Touch Auto-Expand/Collapse for the Library view.
As with the LED display, it needs a combination of Bome and Djay working with the X1s due to the nuances of the MIDI channels used for the MIDI commands.
All the best
James
Hi guys, is everything okay? So the mapping works now, can I just import it or do I need to install bome and other stuff?
Hi Luca,
The mapping works great, but if you want to get the LED display and Loop Length Encoder knobs to work then you will need to use the Bome method I described.
I can supply you the Bome project file to make things easier after you do the first steps listed above, itās up to you.
Cheers
James
A littlebit OT, but still about the (awesome) X1 mk2.
I am wondering if anyone was able to have the touchstrip split in 2 equal parts to control both decks at the same time? (like the default HID Traktor mode works).
Iām not even sure this is possible in MIDI mode?
My MIDI mapping uses the fx1/fx2 on/off buttons (the tiny square ones) to pitchbend up/down for each deck, but normally in Traktor I would use the touch strip to do this, and Iād like to re-use the fx buttons for other purposes.
cheers!
