Hi @Papagp, currently there are no MIDI mappable commands for BPM /2 or x2. However, I have changed this topic from a Question to a Suggestion and have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!
Would it be possible to add shortcut keys for “x2” and “/2” for BPM adjustments and include them in the MIDI mapping as well? It would also be helpful to have a batch process option for “x2” and “/2” BPM, especially for hip-hop and R&B tracks below 70 BPM. Editing them one by one is quite difficult, especially since I’m coming from using TRAKTOR and SERATO, where this feature was available. I hope you can consider prioritizing this in your next update.
Hi @RocketPrinceDJ, please use search before creating new topics. I have merged your new topic with this existing one. You can cast your vote for this feature at the top left of this page. Thanks!
It’s already 2025, and version 5.3 has been released, but there’s still no solution for the halve/double BPM shortcut or MIDI mapping? Maybe you could take action on this, because not all analyzed tracks have the correct BPM — some are doubled even if the song is very slow, while others are halved even if the song is very fast. This is really my main issue, which is why I’m still hesitant to shift from Traktor to djayPRO.
Hi @RocketPrinceDJ, thanks for continuing to push this suggestion. I’ve merged your new topic again with this existing one. Please do not create duplicate topics for the same suggestions. This only makes it harder to tally votes and determine user demand for feature suggestions. Thanks for understanding.
I will bring this suggestion to the dev team for consideration again. Thanks!
May I ask how long it might take? Since it’s just a simple MIDI program and keyboard shortcuts, I was hoping there might be a quicker way to implement an update soon.
In general, Algoriddim does not share timelines or roadmaps for djay development. Essentially, new features are only announced when they are completely ready and released in a djay update. All user suggestions are considered and carefully evaluated, but not all can be implemented for various reasons. Please refer to the attached discussion for more details. Thanks!
