**Summary of the issue - Following the recent update if I use neural mix then alter my EQ’s past center midline, it complete cuts out the audio on that deck. Audio returns if I return the mid or high EQ back to centerline. Even if I stop using neural mix, the EQ knobs will cut audio completely if moved at all past centerlines. The only way to fix this is restart Djay Pro.
I have completely remapped my controller and the issue still happens. I then used my secondary backup controller and this issue still happens. I did purchase a new laptop that will be in today that is significantly faster with 40GB RAM as my currently laptop only has 8. I have been using my current laptop for 8 months with zero issues like this while using neural mix, it has only happened since the recent update. This leads me to believe this is a possible bug. Has anyone else ran into this or know how to fix this issue?
Please help I have a wedding this weekend!!!
**How to reproduce the issue: - Play a track on a deck and use neural mix isolation in combination with EQ knobs.
Good morning. The new laptop fixed the issue, but I think what was happening was I had my neural mix instrumental and acapella mapped to my instant pad FX 1 and 2 but I had the pad FX also physical labeled as other neural mix FX “fill & juggler”. I believe it was either the computer limitations or having multiple maps of neural on one pad FX throwing things off.
Nonetheless I am running smoothly now, thank you for following up on this!
Unfortunately, it happened tonight mid set. The only way to fix it is to shut down and restart Djay pro, so I had to do that in the middle of my set.
I’m pretty frustrated with Djay pro right now. Everything was fine until this update happened without me even accepting it. Now I get minor skip sound glitches that I can’t figure out how to fix and my EQ’s keep cutting out.
At this point I have remapped my controlled, tried my backup controller, bought a faster laptop, deactivated all windows settings that could possibly interfere, increased the buffer latency, and more. I’m really at a loss right now with the program.
Two issues here. EQ will all a sudden cut all audio if I touch it at all. It has only happended in a mid/high combination or a low, never a low with a mid/high or all three. My eq’s are mapped correctly and only to high/mid/low, nothing else.
The sound tick is very frustrating as well. Never had this issue. I have done hours and hours of troubleshooting. I’m fairly tech savvy and have ran through every possibly eliminating factor chatgpt says could exist for these issues.
I have completely crossed off the controller or mapping as any potential issue because it happens with my other controller and the EQ still cuts out when this happens if you use the Djay pro program to alter the EQ’s.
I appreciate any help. I have a wedding tonight and fairly stressed about this.
Trying to troubleshoot more before the wedding I optimized more windows settings to ensure I am in maximum processor mode, disabled all USB selective suspending, and more. Still getting this sound tick.
Hi @ryruss, try turning Key Lock OFF. I would also try a different USB cable (ideally a high-quality one with dual ferrites), and disabling Bluetooth and WiFi on your laptop.
As requested earlier, please also share a screenshot of your djay Settings>General and Settings>Sound windows.
I will try that. On my ddj rx I believe that is the master tempo button.
I did find an exposed USB c to USB b cord that I just got with the new laptop, so I believe that is the possible issue with the sound ticks. Still a bit perplexed on the EQ cutouts.
I will keep the thread posted. Appreciate your assistance trying to get up and running smoothly again.
