Your question:
Not all tracks get cue points after analyzing, re-analyzing doesn’t change anything. It seems to be kinda random: when analyzing 32 tracks, about half of them get proper cue points, the other half not. What can I do? (Tracks are all same format (mp3), about same bpm.)
I read about this in reviews of the software but in this forum I didn’t manage to find any posts about this. Somehow it seems that processor power has something to do with it but that I cannot reproduce. First on a i7 machine it worked almost flawless and worse on a i3 machine, but now it is everywhere totally random.
Thanks for any good idea!
Hi @Digit-J, are you trying to import hot cues from a different DJ software? If so which software? How exactly did you import your existing library into djay?
Hi Slak_Jaw,
Thanks for fast answering
By asking me these questions I understand what happened: Fed up with Traktor I started playing with Djay more and more (best move ever). I didn’t realize the cue points came through Mixed in Key, I thought Djay was adding them And had the impression MIK doesn’t work with Djay. So, now I understand analising in Djay doesn’t do cue points! And I still can use MIK. Top! Thanks!
In fact, it would be nice if Djay could get the functionality of Mixed In Key and set cue points automatically. That would be much more of a game changer than the Meta Quest version that has now been announced and released.
Indeed, unfortunately Djay doesn’t set a First Cue Point automatically, as Slak_Jaw already mentioned. And I must say, I also missed this feature a lot when I noticed it wasn’t included a while ago.
That’s why I made a suggestion for this feature back then, and it has already gathered quite a few votes.
So please consider voting for it as well if you’d like to see this implemented soon!:
