Your question:
Hello, I want to buy a Numark NS4FX, but I’d like to know if it works with Djay Pro in an Ipad IOS. If it doesn’t, do you have any plans to do its mapping?
Hi @Carlos_Alexandre_Cam, this hardware is only supported on macOS and Windows. Currently there are no plans to map this for iOS.
not meaning to post hijack but I have seen this a few times with the NS4FX (which is literally a better equipped Mixtrack Pro Platinum) - I tested this with iOS and it seems to work without issue on a plug and play basis, am I missing something that prevents this from being on the “officially supported” list for iOS?
Hi @thisisJNR, I’ve moved your comment to this topic as it is directly related. Please confirm that you have tested the Numark NS4FX with djay on iOS and that it is working as expected. I will also pass this onto our engineering team for further review. Thanks!
Hi @Slak_Jaw I can confirm that the NS4FX is recognised and works natively on iOS.
If there is any particular feature the devs would like me to test just let me know. The screens and platters all work as expected and I don’t recall having to remap anything
Hi @thisisJNR .
Did you test the “second layer” of performance pad modes? Do they work as well?
I’m asking this because the Mixtrack Platinum FX only has one layer of pad modes, and the NS4FX has 2 layers. By “layers” I mean something like “Shift + HOT CUE button” = “Pad FX mode”, for example.
Regards
Thanks for confirming @thisisJNR
Hi @Carlos_Alexandre_Cam , I’ll check this in the morning and get back to you as I can’t recall if that second layer worked -
This is what I mean, I have list of 4 channel controllers that’s not supported on iOS. They just saying “this and that” and it’s not gonna happen…
I just wanted to build for myself semi pro “standalone” iPad + Good sound quality 4 channel controller…
Only supported ones is traktor s3 and FLX 10, ( they had some kind of arrangement so they work) for sound quality of these 2 no need to say much…
That leaves out mixon 8 pro, Other 4 channel controllers not gonna supported because of mixon 8, that’s what I think, if it’s supported no one is gonna buy it.
And then comes to mixtour pro, competition like z1mk2 x1mk3 it’s not gonna be supported.
Mixon 8, mixtour pro is reloop hottest items.
Conclusion
Djay and reloop have exclusive agreements or they are 2 different named companies with one owner.
I did a quick check this morning and although shift+hotcue isn’t programmed it is recognised as a mappable midi command. I will have to test further to see if this can be used to provide a second layer of pad modes
Hi @thisisJNR, I spoke with the dev team and they confirmed that this hardware is officially supported on iOS. We have added it to the hardware support page. Thanks for your help!

Great news! thanks for raising that with the team. The NS4FX is one of my favourite recommendations as it comes with true 4ch support, an aux in and XLR outputs at an affordable pricepoint.
