Hi all, thought it would be a good thing for us to share our mappings with the community with as much detail as you can about your mapping to help other forum members out.

I’ll go first. This is a Rev 5 mapping that incorporates all 4 decks.

You may like some bits and not so much others.

Shift plus push browser knob previews a track
Shift plus right slip forwards through preview track
Shift plus left slip goes back through preview track
Select plus vocal = Crossfader fx select vocal cut
Select plus melody = Crossfader fx neural mix fade
Select plus bass = Crossfader fx neural mix echo out
Select plus drums = Crossfader fx drum cut
Shift plus tap = toggle Crossfader fx
Shift plus auto bpm = toggle tempo blend
Shift plus fx1 1 = acapella fx routing
Shift plus fx 1 2 =2 harmonic/bass routing
Shift plus fx 1 3 =3 drums fx routing
Same for fx 2 also

Parameter buttons are mapped to left parameter acapella and right parameter instrumental
Shift plus left parameter is mapped to the
New instant fx 1 and shift right parameter to the new instant fx 2

Shift plus deck 3 is decrease wave form factor
Shift plus deck 4 is increase wave form factor

Pad pitch play is now beat jump 16 beats forwards and backwards down to 1 beat forwards and backwards with green pads indicating forwards and reds backwards. I use this a lot to prepare tracks and quickly make adjustments.

Piano play is instant fx

I’ve mapped stems to solo top pads with instant fx bottom pads

Scratch bank is mapped to slicer

As with original map but if you don’t know holding down stems button and pressing vocals, melody bass or drums will do the stem split to another deck, very cool indeed.

Pressing the play button next to select will do the auto transition and shift plus select will change the bar 1,2,4 or 8 (just in case you weren’t aware)

Shift plus the play button next to select will perform an instant double.

I think this is all. I mapped across all 4 decks as well as the rev 5 does offer 4 deck functionality. In case you wanna split stem a vocal on deck 4 or something.

Use what you like and leave the rest. Enjoy

Anyone on here got mappings for Mixtour Pro that maybe has the extra features that are not
Part of the default or mappings for the new features that were added in the last Djay update like NM faders or even things like being able to access the sub menu that contains the match feature be nice to access that using the controller also

Here is my current mapping of the Hercules Inpulse 500:

Decks

• Buttons Vinyl/Slip/Quant = Mute Vocals/Harmonics/Drums
• Loop In = Loop In/Half
• Loop Out = Loop Out/Double
• Shift + Loop In = Auto Loop 4 Beat

Pad Modes

• Loop = Bounce Loops
• Mode 6 (Shift + Loop) = Auto Loops
• Mode 8 (Shift + Sampler) = Instant FX

Mic / Aux Section

• Mic Vol/High/Low = Neural Mix Crossfader Vocals/Harmonics/Drums
• Aux Vol = Parameter FX 1 (both decks)
• Aux Filter = Wet/Dry FX 1 (both decks)

Mixer Section

• Assistant = Toggle EQ/Neural Mix (both decks)
• FX1 = FX 1 on/off Deck 1
• FX3 = FX 2 on/off Deck 1
• FX2 = FX 1 on/off Deck 2
• FX4 = FX 2 on/off Deck 2
• Shift + FX1 = Select FX 1 Previous Deck 1
• Shift + FX3 = Select FX 1 Next Deck 1
• Shift + FX2 = Select FX 1 Previous Deck 2
• Shift + FX4 = Select FX 1 Next Deck 2
• Shift + Filter = Neural Mix Filter (Instrumental/Acapella)

I also use Djay Pro with the following basic settings:

• Mute FX on
• Standard FX1 = Echo 1/2 Beat
• Standard FX2 = Reverb, FX routing on vocals only

Hi everyone,

I’ve seen a few of you (like @Chris_R and @Joey_Castillo) have created custom mappings for the Hercules Inpulse 500 in djay Pro, especially with Neural Mix / stems. That’s exactly what I’m looking for, and I’d be really grateful if you could share the mapping file with me.

Here’s what I’d ideally like:

• The Sampler Pads remapped to Neural Mix (stems) — vocals, drums, bass, harmonics.
• If possible, keep the sampler available on a Shift layer.
• The 4 FX buttons mapped to classic effects like Echo, Flanger, Reverb, and maybe Filter.
• The FX knob working as it does in other DJ software (twist/turn to control the depth/amount of the effect).

Thanks so much in advance if you’re able to share — I know a few of us Inpulse 500 users would find this super useful!

Reloop Ready Mapping Djay Pro for IOS – Decks 3 and 4. I’m copying this post, which I’ve created only for this mapping. But here’s a better place to share, I suppose.

I’m loving this controller!!! So compact, but so powerful! Having much fun with it and all its possibilities!

This is a personalyzed midi mapping I created for Djay Pro on IOS. I think it should work in Mac OS and Windows as well.

I’ve implemented partial control over Decks 3 and 4, which I use as Scratch Decks.

I Used the SYNC button as a secondary SHIFT, and SHIFT + SYNC = SYNC.

I’ve managed to set correct control over the jog wheels on all 4 decks using modifiers on the .TXT file.

MIXER SECTION

Gain knobs = Gain for decks 3 or 4

SYNC + Gain = Tempo for decks 3 or 4. I found it more useful to use the Gain knobs than the tempo faders for 3 and 4, this way you don’t mess around with your pre adjusted beatmatch on decks 1 and 2.

SYNC + High EQ = Mid EQ decks 1 or 2

SYNC + Filter = Filter for decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Load song on decks 1 or 2 = Load song on decks 3 or 4

SYNC + Load song on decks 1 or 2 = Increase / Decrease Waveform zoom

SHIFT + Cue (phone) = Cue for decks 3 or 4

SYNC + Cue (phone) = Time elapsed/remaining on decks 1 or 2

SYNC + Song Browser Push Button = Preview

FX SECTION
Level deck 1 = FX2 Wet/Dry on all decks

SYNC + Level deck 1 = FX1 and 3 Wet/Dry on all decks

Level deck 2 = FX 1, 2 and 3 Parameter on all decks

SHIFT + FX 1, 2 or 3 = Enable FX 1, 2 or 3 on decks 3 or 4

SYNC + FX 1 = FX 1, 2 and 3 Routing Acapella

SYNC + FX 2 = FX 1, 2 and 3 Routing Instrumental

SYNC + FX 3 (deck 1) = Adjust Tempo Range

SYNC + FX 3 (deck 2) = Preview Forward

LOOP SECTION

SHIFT + Encoder deck 1 = FX1 Select

SHIFT + Encoder deck 2 = FX2 Select

UNDER JOG WHEELS SECTION

Vinyl = Neural mix Acapella + FX 3 (I use Echo on this one)

Key lock = Neural mix Instrumental

SHIFT + Key lock = Key lock
SHIFT + Vinyl = Slip Mode

SYNC + Vinyl = Beat jump 8 beats backward

SYNC + Key lock = Beat jump 8 beats forward

Parameter 1 < = Cue for decks 3 or 4

Parameter 1 > = Play/Pause for decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Parameter 1 < = Jump to beginning of song decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Parameter 1 > = Reverse decks 3 or 4

SYNC + Parameter 1 < = Key- decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Parameter 1 > = Key+ decks 3 or 4

PADS SECTION

HOT CUE

SYNC + Hot Cues 4 and 8 = Key + and Key - decks 1 or 2

AUTOLOOP

Pads 1-4 = Bounce Loop 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 beat on decks 1 or 2

Pads 1-4 = Bounce Loop Drums 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 beat on decks 1 or 2

Pads 5 to 7 = Neural Mix 3 channel decks 1 or 2

Pad 8 = Neural Mix Acapella + FX2 on decks 1 or 2

MANUAL LOOP

Pads 1 and 2 = Loop In/Move and Loop Out/Move decks 1 or 2

Pad 3 = Autoloop decks 1 or 2
Pad 4 = Reloop decks 1 or 2

Pads 5 and 6 = Loop In/Move and Loop Out/Move decks 3 or 4

Pad 7 = Autoloop decks 3 or 4
Pad 8 = Reloop decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Pad 1 = Cancel Loop in decks 1 or 2

SHIFT + Pad 5 = Cancel Loop in decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Pads 2, 3 and 4 = Autoloop 8, 16 and Autoloop 32 decks 1 or 2

SHIFT + Pads 6, 7 and 8 = Autoloop 8, 16 and Autoloop 32 decks 3 or 4

PITCH PLAY

SYNC + Pads 4 and 8 = Select Pitch Play Range Up / Down

LOOP ROLL (Mode + Pad 7)

Hot Cues decks 3 or 4

SHIFT + Hot Cues 1-8 = Delete Hot Cues 1-8 decks 3 or 4

*** Jog wheels control only decks 3 or 4 on this pad mode. On the other pad modes, jogs control only decks 1 or 2. So you can scratch all you want on 3 or 4, that the other decks are not affected. And vice versa.

Still have some room to implement more features, but I think for now it’s at least 95% done.

I made a mapping for 2 chained Xone K2 in Latching Layers mode (both set to different midi channels). Left controller is connected to right controller, which is connected to device via USB. Left controller is controlling deck 1 (red), deck 3 (yellow) and 4 channel mixer (green). Right controller is controlling deck 2 (red), deck 4 (yellow) and same mapping for 4 channel mixer (green). I’am using them with Mixtour Pro inbetween. I’ll share the Midi Mapping file tomorrow.

I made another mapping for Novation Launchpad PRO MK3 in Custom Mode. The advantage off coustum mode on Launchpad is, that you can define 8 swichtable pages of the 64 pads. Disadvantage is, that this mode cannot receive LED MIDI Feedback from DJay. Before the mapping in Djay, you have to set up your Launchpad costum mode in Novation components software. There, every costum page get’s its own midi channel and color coding. Pads have to be set up with CC values 1 to 64. Then the mapping should work. Basicly Page 1 is controlling 8 Cues and Saved loops of Decks 1 to 4, Page 2 is controlling Instant FX and Bounce Loops of Decks 1 to 4 and Page 3 is controlling Looper Tracks 1 to 8. I’ll share the Midi Mapping file tomorrow.
