Please Allow Spotify OFFLINE

With iOS 8, Apple will let apps “share” data with each other , which means that if you want to play your offline playlists from the Spotify app in the Djay app it would be possible. Hope Algoriddim have a new app ready at day one of iOS 8!

Is it possible to use spotify on Djay app without wifi?.

Is it possible to use spottify songs on the Djay app when there is no internet connection?

“Extensibility” sounds like it could do it in IOS8… so let’s wait

I agree fully - please keep up the great work and if you can make offline playlists work in djay, there will be no need to ever open up the Spotify app again  - oh, well, maybe for discovery…

The sandboxing issue is the limitation here, so we would need to download tracks to the djay workspace separately. At least for my use case, I would opt to delete the offline tracks from Spotify and move them over to djay.

Offline Spotify needed badly!!!

We pay for access! So no more than fair that enabled Offline function in Djay.

Hi great to hear you are working on this…but hows about this I get that you can’t cross over apps but what if there was an option within the djay 2 app that had the option to download a totally separate set of playlist
good luck with your work on this love spotify second to none and love djay2 app

Right so just so you know I have left a previous comment but didn’t express our need for this solution to be hurried up especially as I am running Reloop Beatpad and probably wouldn’t have bought this expensive kit if I had known that it pretty much u/s without wifi

Please Hurry

Kind Regards

So clearly Algoriddim couldn’t be arsed with making the ios8 update for djay2 available with spotify offline…
…like i have said earlier on i have equipment that i have spent alot of money on quickly going off algoriddim stuff quick enough to take your money though

Put it this way they read ever single comment including this and they still ignore them, even if they would update us every once in a while especially as “apparently” they were waiting for ios8 to come out well guess what its here

Woop woop looks like algoriddim has given up apple for the moment DJAY 2 is available on Android…something tells me that this could be a wise move For algoriddim

An update from algoriddim would be nice telling us us what the status is thats all …they told us that is was because ios7 wouldn’t allow us (sandboxing), and that we had to wait for ios8 (extensibility) so that comes out and still no offline so guess what djay 2 comes out on android and it still doesn’t work offline so clearly its algoriddim not apple

It’s ok now Apple music will download your offline playlists straight into yor library just need to change from spotify to Apple music same price too

So I found out at a wedding that I could not use my spotify account as I was at a large hotel that does not give out free wifi… After paying the 150 for internet all was fine… But what about the gig next week where there is no cell coverage and no internet… This is not a real solution for Djs until you can work offline… I would probably not have tried to switch over had I known I would have to pay for internet connection everywhere I go, and that it won’t work AT ALL when there is no internet

Great suggesttion. . Allow d jay to download specific playlists while online e to be able to be used offline… but in its own sandbox

I understand it as you do Christian. … there is an Interesting possible solution… but I wiuld imagine the real road block here would be spotify… as they wouldn’t enjoy or perhaps legally could not allow… however the idea is as follows…

Spotify grants access to its library to the djay app…for download directly into djays sandbox… in other words instead of trying to access ur offline playlists in spotify. … u have rather a separate offline playlist that exists in the djay apps sandbox…

Seems elementary to me so I assume there must be a reason why this hasn’t been explored. … warren…could you weigh in?

Johnb.com

successfully using djay with limited fear… after buying a new ipad with 4g. … a substantial investment and a monthly fee…

Even so there have been some choice moments where song is ending and I haven’t got next song loaded… yikes! I need reliability … in the long run…

Djay2 with Spotify consuming 3G data?.

Great Spotify implementation!

I’ wondering if Djay2 is consuming my 3G data when using Spotify as the songs source?, even though I’m a Premium user and have those lists downloaded as ‘offline lists’.

I did a test, using the app in Airplane mode on, and the app was not loading songs at all.

Thanks,

David

Adding my support here. Amazingly cool to have the integration with Spotify, but not reliable enough for me to buy without offline access.

I completely agree with the above comments. I recently invested in the Idj Pro and Spotify premium so I could take advantage of a large music library and a good mix deck. It sucks to learn now that if I want to perform outside of a wifi spot that it won’t be possible with the Spotify libraries that I have spent numerous hours building and hundreds of dollars to have access to (put offline). You could gain some serious market share if you worked out these minimal details instead of tricking your customer base into thinking that there is a true Spotify integration.

The one hack that I found to get around this is to create a mobile hotspot with your phone then connect to that internet.

Regardless, it is pointless that we can’t access offline lists.
