Without access to the offline playlist the spotifiy addition is almost useless as most places I use djay2 don’t have a great wifi signal. The original app can play from our other tracks and playlists offline. If this was made available I’m sure everyone would be happy to pay an upgrade for this premium service just like we do for spotifiy.
There is a huge opportunity here to feed the starving crowd. I think if djay2 does not fix this quick another software developer will jump in and steal the future business as it’s clearly a huge demand for the premium spotifiy account users.
TRUE THAT! I purchased the beatpad assuming it would work with offline playlists as that is one of the KEY features of Spotify premium. I recieved the device anxious to play the tracks I downloaded from Spotify, only to be disappointed with a screen saying Spotify is only available online. LAME… what am I supposed to do at an outdoor event or a club with a spotty connection? I’m seriously considering returning this now.
Maybe you should disclose the fact that offline is not supported when you are marketing your product so people don’t feel ripped off when they find out. The truth always presents itself eventually. Full Disclosure is the term, look it up.
I now know why they had other retailers distribute this product for them, so they wouldn’t have to deal with all the returns they knew they would be receiving once people found out they couldn’t play their offline playlists on spotify. I am beyond pissed at this point. I just watched an ebay auction end for a beatpad that was used twice with zero bids for 380. I can’t re sell this thing for even half of what I paid for it because word is out that reloop lied to its customers. Yes I do consider not disclosing the fact that offline playlists don’t work Lying. I will never purchase another reloop product again!
I agree 110%!!! I thought I could use this app to dj my tailgates with no internet… Why did I even upgrade from the idjay1 app? No different features for me:(
Offline playing of Spotify within the Djay app - That would be a a killer feature - that will shift a lot of users.
Offline could be administered in a number of ways - even as a preplanned event (approved while online) or similar. This is NOT about piracy or circumventing DRM rules - but about the fact that longtime sustained online still is a challenge no matter where you play your gigs.
Spotify is paid to use it, that would be very nice to have the offline option
Hi algoriddim, I too would love to see spotify offline playlists become available in iOS8, just adding my two cents.
The disappointment for me after downloading the tracks to the ipad was to find out at an important gig that it wasn’t going to work.
To simultaneously provide sync for ios but not for mac, whilst the ability to play offline only for mac but not for ios is absolutely counter-intuitive.
I Love this app and the idea of sync, but the reality is that this undermines that good work.

spotifty offline please this the reason of my shop and the excelent use of these aplication
+1 for offline playback. Pretty pointless without it. Nobody wants to rely on somebody else’s wifi connection when playing out. If there even is one!

Offline playback is one of the reasons I got spotify premium
When online there is no way to avoid messaging which screws up playlists when there is a wifi / 3g connection.
How it was implemented is only good for the marketing people at spotify/djay
For everyone else it is vaporware

I just spent ages lovingly putting together my offline playlists for a festival where there is no internet available to discover i won’t be able to use them. Please Please Please offline playlists are a must!
