RANE PERFORMER Support

Hi, Slack_Jaw. Does this mean that the Rane Performer is now class-compliant since it works on both Mac and Windows? If so, is it possible for Djay Pro to operate entirely on the iPad in the future?

Hi @djr005, no this does not. Both macOS and Windows systems allow the installation of drivers. iOS does not support driver installation. This is why the device needs to be class compliant so it does not require drivers to work. So unless RANE releases a firmware update that makes the device class compliant, we cannot support it on iOS. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thank you for your prompt response! I will reach out to Rane to follow up.

You’re welcome @djr005

My Exact Sentiments On This. I got my Performer and waited an Entire Week before unwrapping it and plugging it to see if Plug n Play was Available for DJay Pro. When I saw the MIDI was Empty, I turned around and Walked Away…

So I purchased a Performe and tried connecting it with no detection.
Installed driver and firmware update from Rane and now it recognizes the performer.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but none of the functions work on the performer.

Running macOS 11.7.10 and have Djay Pro version 5.2.9 installed on my computer.

Hi @djjonesy, welcome to the Community! I would start by checking that you have selected the correct USB source in the mixer section that matches the USB socket you are connected to on the back of the unit.
