I’‘ll add… its real lame for them to even put this on the web page and use it as a way to sell units without actually supporting it. Rane has had something similar for almost a year now on the RS1 page….
I would warn you not to expect too much, my guess would be only the 2 Omnisource devices will be supported by Djay. I believe VDJ works with everything anyway.
What i can tell you is a lot of the Engine community, particularly beta testers, are quite surprised by this not being released this week, nobody seems to have any idea why its not ready but i think the main issue is the vast majority of testers dont own either of the devices that are Omnisource ready, so the firmware being tested doesn’t give any indication to those people to what is included on these new devices.
i definitely dont think there is any conspiracy about getting people locked into Engine, i truly believe there is some issue somewhere that is blocking it. they have alluded to the fact that the Omnisource tech is something they are proud of from an engineering POV as it was incredibly difficult to pull off.
It’s been almost 8 months since the release of RS1 and 6month since i’ve purchased it back in Feb on this year still Djay Pro support is still nonexistence. What’s happening Team Algoriddim??
Thanks for checking in @Alex_Comla. We are still waiting for the firmware update from RANE, but I believe it is getting close. I’ll share more news when we have something official from RANE.

Have a look at this post from one of the Engine staff. Obviously there’s a touch of ‘it’s not us, it’s them’ stuff going on from all sides. But the interesting part is the technicalities involved.
Basically they are making it so you can have different sources on different channels and share the waveforms, this must be an incredibly difficult thing to get right, imagine your right channel playing a VDJ track, the left channel Serato, with a waveform extracted from each one live, and synced together.

What’s up everyone! Been following this thread since the beginning and ever since I got a RS1 back when it dropped in January. Been a long time user of Djay so having this support on the console is going to be great. Kinda tired of waiting at this point since we’re approaching the last quarter of 2026, HOWEVER, the Serato 5.0 beta came out and with the lucid beatgrids and being able to have all your streaming accounts in your library HEAVILY feels like Djay pro. It’s not exactly like it, but it’s a start. I jammed out for about an hour using the update and it felt like I was right at home. Just a thought for those that may have Serato and are questioning if the update is worth it.

It’s not an update at the minute, it’s a beta that should only be used in a non-professional environment.

Would be surprising if this (Serato dynamic beat grid) isn’t officially released before the end of the year.
It still has a ways to go but progress is progress.
Sadly, we cannot say the same for RS1 support - regardless of where to place that blame.

It has gone beyond ridiculous at this stage, considering it was being shown at NAMM in January.

And djay pro was/is literally shown in a video to be working with the rs1. I feel like if there was a public statement that was made about it’s availability that set expectations, and now things have changed and they’re unable to meet expectations, they probably should make another public statement.
Even the Hercules t10 is borderline behind on their release back when they made an announcement at the same time, but they have now made a public update that it’s on its way.
Yes, as PK pointed out above, it’s gotten beyond ridiculous now.
Im beginning to think they have bitten off more than they can chew. Omnisourcing sounds fantastic and looks fantastic on Mojaxx review where the Serato waveform sits on one deck, Engine on the other etc, all in sync.
When I think about it, how deep does it go, is if always XYZ software and Engine, or are they designing it so one DJ on one software can mix into another DJ on another software, and is that than an extremely complicated thing to get right? And does it require vendors testing all possible combinations?
