I know this is very premature but I hope that DJay Pro is supported on the upcoming System One when it is released. Maybe even the screens will be supported when using iPad. I am due a new controller and this looks like a very interesting proposition.

On a recent Mojaxx video he implied that screen support from iOS devices wasnt possible, likely due to a limitation on the Apple side.

Sorry it looks like the Djay 5.6 review video has been removed from the DjCity Youtube channel. There definitely was one because he did a whole section on screen support for his DJM mixer and some other controllers. Strange.

It remains to be seen if this controller is actually class compliant unlike the performer. USB-c means it might be.
Hopefully switching from computer to standalone and back works without rebooting the unit. I guess we’ll find out soon.

If you check out Beatsource’ latest reel you can see Mojaxx selecting Serato as a source then Engine, then streaming, so it looks like its gonna allow one source on one deck and another on the other, including external software, all integrated.

Yes I seen that iPads don’t support screens on other devices. I was thinking the new Rane device might be different as it looks to have more inbuilt processing power.

I think its more to do with the iOS device itself than the controller and its internals. I imagine they are having a hard time navigating around Apple’s UAB-C interface and iOS to push the required messages to the screens for live updates.

To be fair the screen on the Rane 72 is supported on iOS. Could be the prelude for this controller.
Looks like will have Djay Pro connected with potentially screen support inc IOS. Well
If that happens it will be amazing. This is only someone’s opinion but I’d say pretty strong.

There have been a few leaks of photo’s, but here’s a review from MoJaxx a day early. Interestingly he reckons it (eventually) will work with DJay Pro on an Ipad.
Yay! Switching between sources without having to reboot is now support! Hopefully this comes to other Engine hardware.

I think the screen support for iOs and iPadOS is definitely coming since the screen display is now managed by the hardware thru EngineOS unlike previously where the DVS has to handle it.
Moreover Rane System One is now audio class compliant so it will be pretty straightforward.
INMUSIC has drastically level up the game with this Rane unit, I can’t wait to see what Denon and Numark will bring next (something more compact and less expensive) !!!
