It’s currently being tested by people over on the engine side of things. They’ve had issues with audio drop outs on firmware 5.0 that they have been working on resolving the past few months.
Updates take time.

The 2nd gen Prime 4 is being released on the 1st of September and it’s highly likely the firmware will be updated to include the VDJ and Djay support.
It’s really easy to go and find out why no firmware has been released with this update sooner.

I’ve seen a few mentions of this today, did I miss something?
Have a look on the Engine Prime reddit page, some YouTuber with it showing in the background. Looks like a prime 4 with SC-6000 platters, and probably dedicated stem controls and omni source i would guess.
My local DJ store has also posted a teaser video on instagram (Phase One), with a swan flight case and a piece of paper stuck to it saying ‘do not open until the 1st of September’

It looks like it also has the cue pads from the new MPC too, where each corner of the pad offers independent controls or an XY pad. Interesting times ahead.
With system one support, as long as Djay is supported, this could well be the perfect controller for my new DJ business. I will definitely have to keep an eye out for the details. Thanks for the heads up @STU-C

Yeah I think the delay was due to a couple of factors. The first being the Windows 11 driver issues after midi 2.0 rolled out, this was an ‘all hands on deck’ issue as it impacted hundreds of thousands of users across various different software. The second issue was audio drop outs when loading tracks that were not widely picked up in testing, but came out of the woodwork at go-live, with many users having ultra high res artwork or using non-standard workflows to organise their music it ended up making the hardware unusable in some cases. Both are largely fixed now so they should be on track to get VDJ and Djay supported and im 99% certain it’ll be in line with this new product drop.

Soooooooooooo, do we think we are gonna get the announcement on this tomorrow? do yall think this new Denon Prime G2 is gonna support Djay out the gate or naw? I know….. Ill be back here in 24 hours to see!

Well it’s just been announced kind of on Denon dj forum that Prime 4 g2 will be available with djay pro out of the box. VDJ coming soon.
As expected, the new firmware is released with the new device.

At first glance, this sounds great - we’ll have to wait and see just how far this support actually goes and how it’s implemented. After all, it’s not just about support as a controller, which is often enough to be listed as a supported device on Algoriddim’s support pages. Just as important would be support for the built-in screen and the ability to access additional features like Soundswitch and DMX. I’m curious to see what it’s really capable of.

I get that things happen, although the success or failure of the engine team or company doesn’t impact me in any way, but they really should make an official and public statement regarding the availability of djay pro or vdj.

Yep seems that way. Who even knows what the integration will even be like for system one. Think it’s clearly built for stand alone.

It’s definitely surprised me this release. And not in a good way. Everything I saw pointed to this being the date those additions would be released, at this point i really have no idea what is going on, and I don’t think many others do too.

Yeah, even Virtual DJ not having support yet and the Serato version for the prime 4 g2, that even says Serato on the unit, also not being available is a bit of a mess from a release perspective.
I think the good news is, once its supported on one of these things…. all of them will. Im guessing it means that everything from the RS1 to the Prime + Go to the SC6000s will work once they get it hashed out. But i also feel a little like they are doing it on purpose to get people locked in on EngineDJ…. but… thats a little conspiratorial of me ig.
