RANE System One Support

Welcome to the Engine forum Sam, there’s lots of exciting things happening with Engine right now, I’m interested to see the Djay pro integration with the new Rane device, it should be as good as the Serato offering judging by how it’s being marketed on the Rane System One product page.

I see that there are also a few arguments over there on the engine DJ forum too.

I have to say though that if this Rane System One is a template for inMusic going forward, that will be used on non-spinning platter Rane devices, plus updates to the Prime line. All with integrations with Serato and Djay, they will be a really, really compelling option for me and I’m sure a lot of others too.

Yes I see there is some drama on that forum. It is ok for people to respectfully disagree on matters and have a different point of view, that’s part of life and can be very constructive. Personally I don’t give people my time or energy if they are disrespectful when making a point tho, I am a 3 strikes then your blocked type of person :joy:. Anyway back on topic it is very exciting to see the way DJ tech is being enhanced with Algoriddim DJ leading the the pack with software in my opinion! What a time to be alive! I will keep you you guys up to date when my unit arrives.

For many, the question will be which comes first: the ability to use stems with Engine DJ OS on the fly, or Djay screen support on System One. Stem support is announced for March, and by then at the latest, many will certainly be considering using Engine DJ OS in the future.

If Algoriddim has concrete plans to bring Djay to System One, and is perhaps already in contact with Rane itself, it would be wise to announce this as early as possible.

its not always like that Sam, and the recent posts are from a few people whove been on there a long time (me included ill admit) who dont necessarily see eye to eye. Most of the time people get along fine though.

I agree with the sentiments above, and i think most importantly, all of these things are pushing the industry towards better integration so any DJ can rock up and play on any gear, regardless of what you want to use and how you want to use it.

If you look on the System One product page it already is announced.

It says something about “seamlessly mixing between […] software sources like […] Algoriddim djay” - screen support is not specifically mentioned there.

Not screen support but it says ‘support coming early 2026’, Mojaxx mentions screen support specfically in his review video however.

I agree mate. It was only a year or so ago Djay Pro was a tag a long choice for hardware companies. Now Djay Pro is becoming a main stay. Best grids on the planet, one of if not best stems. Partnering now quite tightly with Alpha Theta. All the experience and expertise Algoriddim has given to One Library. I would say Djay Pro is very well positioned. Exciting days/years ahead. For me it’s a no brainier to have Djay Pro tightly integrated with System One early on. Shows how far Djay Pro has come. Rane want Djay Pro early to the party. Wise move.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to confirm that this hardware will be officially supported by djay on macOS, Windows and iOS. This includes screen support! We don’t have an official release date yet, but I’ll share more news soon.

So, might be a crazy question…but what would be the benefits of having this if you already have a capable laptop/iPad/iPhone running Djay Pro? Is it the touchscreen?

Larger touchscreen than an iPhone that you may likely already have in your pocket so no extra device to pack. Plus easy back 2 back change over with another DJ who’s using USBs.

That’s nice! I would be impressed if it had Algoriddim software built in. Other than that, I’m ok with my iPad. No interest in switching to Engine DJ or Serato.

Also, I’m not 100% sure, but you might be able to show different info on the iPad/iPhone screen than on the RANE screen - so dual screens potentially.

I’m praying that Engine Dj join the One library Party….

That would be a very wise move.

That sounds great! Will it also be possible to use the controller’s lighting control?
