Reloop Mixtour Pro headphone cue distortion when using NI Audio 6

Hi,

Just bought Reloop Mixtour Pro and tried it out with my MacBook Pro.

My studio monitors are connected to Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 usb audio interface.

If I choose main output to Komplete Audio 6 and cue output to Mixtour Pro, Mixtour’s headphone output starts randomly distort sound very heavily. Distortion comes and goes, but makes it almost unusable.
But if I choose main output and cue output both to Mixtour Pro, I haven’t noticed any distortion at least yet. But if I change settins distortion starts almost immediatly.

Not very bad problem because i can connect my monitors to Mixtour or use separate mixer etc, but it seems some kind of bug, since it’s possible to choose different audio interface as main output in Djay’s settings.

Macbook Pro 15" 2019
MacOS Sequoia 15.01
Djay 5.2.4
Reloop Mixtour Pro
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6

Reloop Mixtour Pro headphone output distorts if there’s another audio interface as main out in Djays settings.
No issue when using Mixtour Pro both as main out and cue out device, but can reproduce this issue by changing settings back to different devices as main and cue out.

Thank you!

Hi @jandr01d, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. Are you running the latest firmware from Reloop? If so, please also try updating djay to 5.2.5. Also, you could try the following:

  1. Select the Audio 6 as main out and Mixtour as pre-cue in djay
  2. Open Audio MIDI Setup.app
  3. If the “audio devices” window is not shown press ⌘+1 on the computer keyboard
  4. Choose “Aggregate-Audio-Device” in the left sidebar
  5. Try different combinations of turning drift correction on- or off for the Mixtour and the Komplete audio 6.

Thank you for fast reply @Slak_Jaw!

Reloop had the latest firmware but I haven’t noticed newest Djay 5.2.5 update so i did it as well.

It seems that choosing “Aggregate-Audio-Device” manually to audio output device in Mac settings and trying those drift correction settings as well did the trick.

I’ll reply back to this if issue comes back. Thanks!
