Sometimes I need to set a cue poin around a half bar before an actual track start. Now quickest wat would be to go to any DAW and add silence before track start, but is there a simple way this could be implemented? maybe same logic could be applied within Djay. thanks
Thanks for the suggestion @Akrilovy. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!

I wish I could set the Cue Point in the Negative Time Space as a Start Point (see screenshot(:
Bonus whishes:
- Cue Point override button to playout the whole track, and disgard the last Cue Point
- Cue Point Start, now start song only from Cue Point 2, 3, and and at 5, 6, 8
Hi @Fermioncool, I’ve merged your new topic with this existing one. Please cast your vote here. Thanks!
Hello djay team, I would like to ask for the implementation of the function in the title, I mean the possibility to add cue points before the song start, into empty space, that would be very useful for songs that doesn’t starts on the grid or to manage songs that have no intros, like what dj carlo does in this video @ 4.36 https://youtu.be/g79Ial0L95Q?si=VE18dTFk5HtG-Cd-
Really hope you will take dis upgrade into consideration
Regards
Simone
Hi @SIMSU_84, I’ve merged your new topic with this existing one. Please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page. Thanks!
It would be extremely useful to allow cue points before the start of a track (negative time / negative beats).
This helps mix songs without intros while preserving the original drop and character of the track, instead of relying on loops or intros. It keeps mixes pure (for a lack of a better term) and gives them unique flavor.
For this to work properly, the following issue would need to be resolved, since negative Beatjump currently desynchronizes the track:
Using negative beatjump desynchronizes the song
Proposed behavior:
-
Allow cue points at negative beats (e.g. -4, -8, -16)
-
Triggering them keeps tempo and phase locked
I’d agree with this, that would be useful on some tracks.
Thanks for the suggestion @preciseblend. Good idea. I’ll share this with the dev team for consideration.
Hi again @preciseblend and @BillPayer, I found an existing related topic so I’ve merged them together. Please revote above. Thanks!
Engine DJ has this feature, and I found it really useful. It also lets you set the 1st bar before the actual start of the audio to keep the bar numbers aligned with the track’s phrasing. Super helpful!
is One Library supporting this?
