Spotify logs out trying to play a song

Hi,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue where Spotify spontaneously logs me out within Djay Pro, which is making the app unreliable for live DJ sets.

The problem has two aspects:

  1. Routine logouts – Since Spotify was integrated into Djay Pro, I’ve been logged out at least every few days.
  2. Mid-session logout – Today, in the middle of an active (fortunately not live) set, Spotify logged out completely without warning. All loaded tracks disappeared and the app returned to its initial state.

This is a serious issue for live performance use. If a spontaneous logout can occur mid-session, Djay Pro becomes unreliable as a gigging tool.

My questions:
• Is this expected behaviour, or is it a known bug?
• Is there a workaround to prevent session timeouts during a set?
• Are there any fixes planned?

My setup:
• Djay Pro 5.6.3
• iPad with A16 chip
• iPadOS 26.3.1
• Hercules Inpulse 500

  1. Is your internet connection fast and stable? Sometimes a logout can happen if there is a brief drop in WiFi connection.
  2. Are you using a VPN?
  3. Have you noticed if this only happens with specific songs?
  4. What country are you in?
  5. Could you please send me your public IP address from this website https://whatismyipaddress.com/ in a DM so we can do some more enquiries on our side?
  6. When the logout happens, are you able to play songs from the Spotify App or via the Spotify Browser?

Here’s my answers to your questions:

  1. I have 1Gbit internet, so super fast!
  2. I am NOT using a VPN
  3. Any song/songs this happens
  4. I’m Netherlands based
  5. Will send IP shortly!
  6. The Spotify App works fine!
